Edward Findleton: Welcome to HAW Shootout! We are in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the crowd is ready for some action!
THE Casey Gains: Every title will be defended again tonight. The World Title, The Tag, The Women's, the National, and even...And I don't believe I'm going to say this, the MuscleGang Open Challenge undefeated streak!
Edward Findleton: But we're kicking things off with Ruslan Panov challenging Scarred Badger! They've been assaulting each other non stop for weeks, so it's about time for the gloves to come off in this hardcore match!
With that, Ruslan Panov came out to the ring, still holding the trusty night stick he had been using. Various weapons had been placed outside the ring and inside the ring, such as tables, barbed wire bats, and trash cans.
Scarred Badger came out next, holding the National Championship. Scarred Badger climbed into the ring, and held up the National Title to the crowd. Then with a quick movement, he turned and blasted Ruslan Panov with the title belt! Referee Tom Hunter rang the bell, and the match was on!
Scarred Badger threw the title to the side, then grabbed a nearby broomstick, and started to whack away at Panov's back. Panov stumbled around the ring, until he grabbed his night stick, and blocked the swing of the broomstick. Panov dropped the night stick and started striking Scarred Badger with punches and kicks.
Edward Findleton: And Ruslan Panov, ignoring the weapons and turning this into a wrestling match!
THE Casey Gains: That may be his best bet, because I think Scarred Badger flourishes when weapons are brought in! Changing things up puts Panov at an advantage!
Panov hit a roundhouse kick on Badger, and Badger fell towards the ropes, struggling for his balance. Panov charged at him, but Badger lowered the ropes. Panov went over, but managed to land on the apron. Scarred Badger turned around, Ruslan Panov grabbed him, and lifted him for a suplex. The two came crashing down outside the ring and through a set up table!
Edward Findleton: This could be the match here, but for the pinfall to take place, it must be done in the ring!
Panov tried to pick Scarred Badger up, but had difficulties with the limp body. Panov managed to push him towards the ring, so that Scarred Badger's head was near the apron. Panov went to lift up Badger, but Badger reached under the apron, grabbed a small hammer, and hit Panov's hand! Ruslan backed up, and Badger charged and tackled Panov, right into the steel steps!
Panov was now hurting, and Badger reached under the ring, pulling out a pane of glass. He slid if into the ring, climbed in, and propped up against the turnbuckle. Scarred Badger scanned the ring, and found Panov's nightstick. Badger grabbed it, rolled out of the ring, and started to hit Panov with his own nightstick. In a desperation effort, Ruslan elbowed Scarred Badger with a low blow to the groin! Badger dropped the nightstick, and retreated back into the ring.
Ruslan picked up the nightstick, then looked under the ring. He found a can of gasoline, then dipped the nightstick in. Panov reached into his pant pocket, pulled out a lighter, and light the nightstick on fire!
Edward Findleton: Oh no...This can get bad fast!
Ruslan Panov took the flaming nightstick, and hit Scarred Badger in the chest repeatedly. Scarred Badger's shirt caught on fire, and after flailing around, managed to get the burning shirt off and thrown into the nearby trash can.
THE Casey Gains: Scarred Badger's back is pure red now! I don't know how much more he can handle!
Scarred Badger crawled over to the glass pane and rested against. Ruslan Panov threw down the nightstick which had burnt all the gasoline and was just smoldering. Panov went to the opposite side of the turnbuckle, and stared Badger down. Panov screamed, and charged towards Scarred Badger. He put his foot out to deliver a kick to Badger's head, but Badger crawled out of the way at the last second. Panov's foot went right through the glass pane, shattering it, and cutting open Panov's leg.
Edward Findleton: I don't think this match will be over until one of these men is dead!
Badger crawled over to the barbwire bat. He took a deep breath, then grabbed the barb wire from the bat and pulled it off, then placed the barbwire onto his own boot, cutting his hands in the process. Badger got to his feet, just as Panov got to his feet as well, who was still holding his bleeding leg. Badger charged at Panov, and delivered a barb wire Big Boot to Panov's face, cutting open Panov's face as well.
Scarred Badger collapsed onto Panov, and covered him, getting the three count.
Edward Findleton: And Scarred Badger does it! In one of the most brutal matches in HAW history, Scarred Badger defends his title against Ruslan Panov!
THE Casey Gains: I don't know how long Scarred Badger can keep this up, but as long as his body is willing, I don't know who can defeat him!
Scarred Badger barely got to his feet and held up the HAW National Championship, his bloodstained hands smearing on the metal plates. He collapsed to the ground, and crew helped him to the back while others tended to Ruslan Panov.
With the ring cleaned up, the music of Exotic Delights played, and out came Phueng Ahunai and Lela LaCruse. The two women kept talking to each other, pumping each other up. Kherti Bhakta came out next, looking angry and marching down to the ring.
Edward Findleton: And here comes Kherti Bhakta! She's looking like she has something to prove tonight!
THE Casey Gains: The question still remains though...who will she face?!
Kherti looked ready for the match as she got in the ring, and Phueng and Lela kept talking to each other. Referee Tom Hunter went to the two, and seemed to indicate a decision needed to be made. Phueng took a step forward in front of LeLa and stared down Kherti, who motioned for Phueng to bring it. Phueng then quickly dropped to the mat and rolled out of the ring, playing one final mind game as Lela stepped up. The bell rang, and the match was underway.
Kherti came out aggressive, attacking Lela and quickly over powering her. Kherti had Lela grounded, then she looked over at Phueng, who was standing idly by at ringside. Kherti rushed over, and yelled at her to not interfere. With Kherti's back turned, LeLa was able to get up, sneak behind Kherti and hit her with a sit out rear mat slam!
THE Casey Gains: Kherti may have scouted a bit too much there. She knows Phueng will interfere, but she really needs to focus on Lela at this point!
Lela started to wear down Kherti now, before picking her up. Lela went for a suplex, but Kherti blocked it. Kherti countered, and hit Lela with a brainbuster!
Phueng started to pound the mat to energize Lela, but it caught Kherti's attention. Kherti rolled out of the ring and confronted Phueng. Phueng put her hands up, showing she wasn't interfering or contacting Kherti. Kherti slapped Phueng across the face, knocking her down. Phueng got up, and started to run. Kherti chased after her, doing a lap around the ring. Phueng rolled into the ring, and Kherti followed after her. As Kherti stood up, Lela hit Kherti with a spear! Kherti hit the ground hard, and Lela quickly climbed to the top rope. She jumped, and hit Kherti Bhakta with a Diving Corkscrew Moonsault! She stayed on for the cover, and picked up the three count!
Edward Findleton: And there we go! Lela LaCruse has pinned Kherti Bhakta for the Women's Championship!
THE Casey Gains: I think Kherti played herself. She was too worried about Phueng outside the ring, and The Exotic Delights got into her head!
Phueng took the Women's Championship and a mic. She went into the ring, and presented both to Lela.
Lela: Give it up for your new HAW Women's Champion...Lela LaCruse.....AND Phueng Ahunai!
Lela and Phueng each held one of the straps of the title up, posing victoriously.
THE Casey Gains: I'm not sure if they understand math well, but one thing is certain, these two women are a powerful force together, and the women's division better watch out!
With the tag team titles hanging above the ring, and ladders surrounding the outside. It was time for the Tag Team Championship match! The Biofuel Engineers came out first, followed by Sentinel and Phoenix, and then the Musical Lifeguard Chairs. All three teams didn't look like their usual selves for their entrances, appearing less cocky or energetic, and more driven to succeed for the task at hand. The Strange Crew entered last, but played up their usual insane selves.
THE Casey Gains: These two are crazy. They're crazy for wanting this match, but you know what Edward? You need to be crazy to win a ladder match like this!
The match began. The three challenging teams all paired up and started brawling each other, while Drizzles and Hawaii exited the ring, and quickly set up two ladders in the ring. They both started to climb, and all three teams stopped brawling to see the Strange Crew climbing. Before they could reach the top, the challenging teams grabbed the legs of Drizzles and Hawaii, pulled them off the ladder, and started beating them down.
The teams started fighting again, with people being thrown out of the ring until it was just the Biofuel Engineers and Mr. Lifeguard. Dalton whipped Lifeguard right into a Sydney Mason clothesline. Dalton then picked up Lifeguard, and placed him in between one of the ladder. Sydney grabbed one side, Dalton the other, and the two pushed in on the ladder, crushing Mr. Lifeguard in between it! Lifeguard rolled out of the ring to recover, and the Biofuel Engineers began to climb the ladder. However, The Strange Crew ran back in the ring with two more ladders, and used them to bash the Biofuel Engineers in the ribs causing them to fall.
Drizzles started to climb one set up ladder, holding a second, while Hawaii climbed the other set up ladder closer to the ring ropes, also holding a second ladder. Hawaii and Drizzles took one of their ladders and placed it on top of the two set up ladders, creating a walkable bridge.
Edward Findleton: It looks a bit wobbly, but it appears Hawaii and Drizzles are setting something up!
Hawaii and Drizzles looked down, and noticed the Biofuel Engineers were starting to rise to their feet. Hawaii took his ladder, then climbed up onto the bridge. He jumped down at the Biofuel Engineers, using the ladder as a battering ram and sending the Biofuel Engineers out of the ring. Drizzles then started to make his way towards the tag titles!
Edward Findleton: Drizzles, almost touching the titles!
Outside of the ring, Phoenix quickly ran up a ladder that was set up. He jumped from the ladder to the top rope, then springboarded across the ring towards Drizzles, grabbing his head and hitting him with a springboard flying bulldog! The height injured Phoenix as well and seemed to take out Drizzles. Hawaii started to rush towards the ladder, but LaZor and Sentinel then rolled in. Sentinel grabbed Hawaii's feet and tried to powerbomb him, but Hawaii held onto the ladder. LaZor climbed the other side of the ladder, then jumped towards Hawaii's head with his legs. LaZor delivered a seated senton while Sentinel helped with his arms delivering a powerbomb to Hawaii down to the mat. Hawaii looked out, and LaZor was hobbling, resting in the corner.
Sentinel seeing everyone injured, started to slowly climb the ladder. Dalton Elkins then climbed into the ring, and grabbed the loose ladder on the ground he was previously rammed with by Hawaii. He picked it up, and started jabbing at Sentinel with the end. Finally, Dalton got a solid shot in on Sentinel, who fell off. Dalton Elkins smiled, and was all alone in the ring. He dropped his ladder, then started to climb towards the titles.
THE Casey Gains: These two should be the rightful champions, and Dalton is going to make things right in the HAW Tag Division!
Dalton Elkins was at the top, and started to grab at the titles, when Mr. Lifeguard ran into the ring. He climbed the opposite side of the ladder, and started punching Dalton Elkins. Lifeguard smashed Dalton's head off the ladder, and Dalton fell down onto his dropped ladder. Dalton was still moving, and Mr. Lifeguard looked down at him. Without waiting, Mr. Lifeguard jumped off with his Shallow Water Dive, a swanton bomb, onto Dalton, driving his back into the ladder!
Edward Findleton: And Mr. Lifeguard is giving it everything he's got in this match!
LaZor had now recovered, and started to climb up, looking hurt, but making his way to the top. LaZor looked around the arena, and saw The Strange Crew, Sentinel and Phoenix, and Sydney Mason all outside the ring, slowly starting to get to their feet. LaZor shook his head, then started to climb across the ladder bridge until he was standing on top of the ladder near the ropes.
THE Casey Gains: Tell me he's not thinking of doing this!
LaZor took a deep breath, screamed, and jumped off with a Shooting Star Press, onto all five men outside the ring as the crowd went nuts.
Edward Findleton: LaZor! LaZor has taken nearly everyone out!
THE Casey Gains: And look who's left! Mr. Lifeguard!
Mr. Lifeguard was holding his back, but was now back on his feet. He looked at Dalton Elkins who appeared unconscious, then outside at the ring at the carnage, then up to the titles. Mr. Lifeguard started to climb up to the top of the ladder.
Edward Findleton: He's going to do it! Mr. Lifeguard is going to be a champion!
Mr. Lifeguard grabbed the titles, and unclasped them. The bell rang, the Musical Lifeguard Chairs theme blasted, and the crowd erupted into cheers
Edward Findleton: He's done it! Mr. Lifeguard is a champion! LaZor is a champion! After 17 years, Musical Lifeguard Chairs are FINALLY the Tag Team Champions!
THE Casey Gains: I'll give them props. These two never gave up, and have finally achieved their goal!
LaZor had climbed into the ring, and back up the side ladder. Lifeguard tossed one of the titles to him. The two held up the titles, then descended, before meeting each other in the ring and giving a huge hug. Mr. Lifeguard started to get teary eyed, and LaZor patted him on the back. LaZor held up Lifeguard's arm and pointed towards him as the crowd cheered more. The two exchanged some private words, smiled, then started to use the Tag titles as guitars, pretending to rock out.
Edward Findleton: What a match, and judging by what we're seeing, what a celebration that will happen throughout the night! Musical Lifeguard Chairs, LaZor and Mr. Lifeguard, are your NEW HAW Tag Team Champions!
Crash MuscleGate's music hit, and out came all four members of the MuscleGang, with Crash MuscleGate being led to the ring with a blindfold, before everyone took a microphone.
Frederic St. Pierre: It is time...for the MuscleGang Open Challenge! Where we will go...4-0!
Liam: 4-0! 4-0!
Liam led the chant, and the crowd start to join in.
Lovable Liam: That's right! And we actually got an inside scoop on who Crash will be facing tonight! This is a man who has a history with Crash! At the first ever HAW Battle Royal match, this man sat in the crowd and watched Crash wrestle!
Frederic St. Pierre: That is right! He is a local Albuquerque legend, who spent 11 years on the New Mexico independent scene before retiring and becoming a part time high school football coach....
Oden Schreiner: Supper Time Santos!
Out came Supper Time Santos, to no reaction from the crowd. Crash put his blindfold down and looked up at the ramp, shocked.
THE Casey Gains: And once again, The MuscleGang Open Challenge proves to be a waste of everyone's time!
Supper Time Santos and Crash Musclegate went to opposite sides of the ring, and the bell rang. Crash started the match by whipping Santos towards the ropes and going for a dropkick, but Santos stopped and Crash hit the ground. Santos immediately jumped on Crash and put him in a headlock. Supper Time Santos kept wearing down Crash with submissions. Santos then went for a leg drop, but Crash moved.
Crash started to gain a second wind and was striking Supper Time Santos, then grabbed him for a belly to belly suplex. Santos was down, and Crash quickly jumped on him to lock him in Physical Tear-apy, a Camel Clutch.
The Casey Gains: And mercifully, the MuscleGang is going to go 4-0 and put this challenge to rest.
Supper Time Santos looked close to tapping out, but managed to use his strength to lift himself off the ground, He fell on top of Crash, and both men were hurt. They got to their feet around the same time, and Crash grabbed Santos for another belly to belly. However, Supper Time Santos reversed, and turned Crash around with a backslide pin. Crash was caught by surprise, and a three count was made!
Edward Findleton: Oh my god! Are you kidding me?!
THE Casey Gains: There it is! The MuscleGang Open Challenge Winner! Supper Time Santos! Miracles happen!
Supper Time Santos started to celebrate in the ring, while Crash and the rest of the MuscleGang looked in complete shock. Santos went and grabbed Crash's hand, forcing a shake, but Crash looked too defeated to muster any strength in his shake. Crash rolled out of the ring while the other members tried to comfort him, but he just walked ahead of them up the ramp, head down.
Edward Findleton: Well that was one of the biggest upsets in HAW, and this will be a match that Supper Time Santos AND Crash MuscleGate will remember for a long time to come!
Edward Findleton: It's time for the main event, the HAW World Championship match!
Douglas Brunswick came out first, the crowd mostly behind him. Brunswick kept loose walking to the ring, but no clapping hands with the crowd. He looked solely focused on business at hand.
THE Casey Gains: Douglas Brunswick has been saying he's the better wrestler, week after week. He's good, no doubt about it. But Edward...this is essentially a four on one match. I don't think he's THAT good.
Calhoun's music hit, and he came out with the HAW World Championship and the Men of Power. Calhoun smiled, confident and strutting down to the ring with confidence. Calhoun got in the ring, and gave the World Title to referee Dennis Thompson. Thompson held the title up, gave it to the ringside crew, and looked at both men, asking if they were ready. Douglas Brunswick nodded, as did Calhoun.
Edward Findleton: This match is on!
Referee Dennis Thompson rang the bell, and Calhoun and Brunswick started to step towards each other. Referee Dennis Thompson suddenly stepped between them. Thompson walked over to Rat and Fun Fight Machine, and then ordered them to go to the back!
The Casey Gains: How is this allowed?! They haven't even done anything yet!
Edward Findleton: Dennis Thompson was the ref last month when The Behemoth and Calhoun were threatening him! I think he's keeping Calhoun's Companion Wrestler, but preemptively sending back Rat and Fun Fight Machine!
The Men of Power tried to argue, but Thompson was having none of it. Reluctantly, Fun Fight Machine and Rat went to the back. Calhoun looked over at The Behemoth and nodded, then back at Brunswick. Calhoun smiled, and was heard yelling “I still have him here!”
Calhoun and Brunswick started to circle each other, still not locking up, when the crowd starting murmuring and looking away from the ring. The camera's caught Mayor Briggs running through the crowd! He grabbed a steel chair, and hopped the barricade, before running behind The Behemoth and hitting him in the back with the chair! The Behemoth fell, and Mayor Briggs hit him more, as Calhoun was yelling for him to stop. Briggs looked up at Calhoun and shrugged, then pulled a pair of handcuffs out of his jacket. He grabbed The Behemoths wrist, cuffing one and locking the other side of the cuffs to the ring post! The Behemoth tried to move away, but was stuck!
Edward Findleton: A punch hasn't been thrown yet but everything has suddenly changed!
Mayor Briggs took the chair he had and unfolded it. He grabbed a microphone, then sat down on the chair.
Mayor Briggs: It's one on one now, mate! I wish you all the luck in the world!
Calhoun's anger and shock suddenly turned to worry. He looked across the ring at Douglas Brunswick, who appeared just as unphased at everything as he was when he entered the ring. Calhoun sprinted towards Brunswick, who delivered an arm drag to Calhoun. Calhoun got up and ran towards Brunswick again, this time getting hit with a drop toe hold.
Brunswick started to elbow Calhoun in the back of the head, then started delivering knees to his shoulders. Brunswick picked Calhoun up to his feet, and Calhoun used his power to drive Brunswick into the turnbuckle. James Calhoun backed up, and tried to run towards the cornered Brunswick, but he got his feet up into Calhoun's face. Brunswick jumped to the top rope, and as Calhoun turned around, hit Calhoun with a flying crossbody. Brunswick popped off of Calhoun, and a stunned Calhoun started to struggle to his feet. Brunswick got behind Calhoun and tucked his head under his arms. Douglas Brunswick lifted up James Calhoun, and hit him with the Lifting Reverse DDT. Brunswick jumped onto Calhoun, and hooked the leg, as referee Dennis Thompson counted 1-2-3!
Edward Findleton: It's over already! Douglas Brunswick has pinned James Calhoun to win the HAW World Championship!
THE Casey Gains: I'm not convinced he's the best wrestler just yet. This would be an entirely different match without a biased ref and a rookie interfering!
Douglas Brunswick took the title, and kissed it. He climbed the rope, and held up, screaming in triumph! Brunswick got down from the rope, and when he turned around, saw Mayor Briggs standing in the ring. Mayor Briggs smiled, and walked in a circle around Douglas Brunswick, almost studying him. Briggs held out a fist for a fist bump. Brunswick stared a bit, before reluctantly giving a fist bump. Briggs laughed, then dropped down and rolled out of the ring before heading up the ramp. Brunswick looked confused for a bit, but then looked back at his title, and started to celebrate again.
Edward Findleton: Regardless of what transpired, this match has set HAW down a new road! And that road is being led by Douglas Brunswick, the new HAW World Champion! Thank you for watching Shootout, and we'll see you next week for the fall out!
