Dark Match: The Strange Crew (Drizzles/Hawaii) defeated local talent Zak Fitzpatrick and Joe Percy
The New HAW Theme played, and the crowd in the arena started cheering.
Edward Findleton: HAW is back! We kick off a new season tonight in Manchester, New Hampshire!
THE Casey Gains: There's a lot going on tonight, but we're first turning it over to our new ring announcer, Bradley Wallace who's in the ring!
Bradley Wallace: Ladies and Gentlemen...welcome back to HAW! Please give a warm welcome to the owner of HAW, Freezerman!
Freezerman's theme played, and he made his way down to the ring to the cheers of the crowd.
Freezerman: Thank you! It's great to be back, and it's so exciting to start this journey here in Manchester! Thank you again! Now I have a lot of business to get to, specifically for our upcoming show, One Way Trip. First, I want to address the tag division. During the last season of HAW, Franco Mancini and Fergus O'Toole defeated The Musical Lifeguard Chairs. However, a lot of...complicated legal matters have arisen. Franco Mancini is contracted to defend the NRWL Title against The Bean at one point in the future. An agreement through different legal teams was made, and the decision is this: Franco can defend the HAW Tag Team Championship as long as he holds it, but can not participate in any other matches until after his match with The Bean!
THE Casey Gains: I still can't believe that match is happening!
Freezerman: So tonight, our main event will be a number one contender's match to see who will face Franco and Fergus, as we will watch The Towering Blights, Viking and the Iconoclast, take on Lovable Liam and Frederic St. Pierre, the MuscleGang!
Edward Findleton: Two strong, experienced teams right there!
Freezerman: And before when I said I'm going to address the tag division, I'm not done...because I'm going to address the Women's Tag Division! At One Way Trip, all eligible teams will compete to become the first ever HAW Women's Tag Team Champions!
Edward Findleton: Wow! A new championship on the line!
Freezerman: And finally...before I go back behind the scenes...allow me to introduce the HAW Champion, Crash MuscleGate!
Crash MuscleGate came out, with the rest of the MuscleGang, Liam, Frederic, and Oden behind him. Crash had his first proper championship entrance and made sure to pose for the crowd. Freezerman shook Crash's hand and went to the back, as Crash basked in the applause.
Crash: Thank you! Thank you! Wow! This is amazing. It's an honor to be here, to STILL be your champion after nearly a year. There's been some challenges-
Lovable Liam: One challenge.
Crash: ….Yes, one challenge, but a difficult challenge none the less, and I successfully overcame that challenge!
Lovable Liam: By running a clock out!
Crash: …..Liam, I was going to beat him.
Lovable Liam: But you didn't.
Crash: Well I was about to.
Lovable Liam: Probably about to. You did very well, but we need to accurately recap what happened, it's been months.
Crash: ...Thanks Liam. Ok, so I bravely put my title on the line, and I successfully-
At that point, Mayor Briggs' music played interrupting Crash, and he strolled out to the ring, Douglas Brunswick along his side.
Mayor Briggs: Oy, Crash...look mate, we had to listen to drone on every week on the European tour about how great you are, give it a rest, 'aight? We know you're the champ. You beat Douglas Brunswick in what you called a fair one on one fight. But you know what I think? I don't think it was fair at all.
Crash: ...Why wasn't it fair? It was just us, that's the fairest it could be.
Mayor Briggs: Exactly, it was unfair because I wasn't allowed at ring side!
Douglas: Crash, you got into my head. Maybe that was my rookie mistake. I shouldn't have agreed to that match. But we aren't making that same mistake again. I promise that I'll make sure you lose that title.
Mayor Briggs: A promise dear boy, ya hear that? Crash, we're learning from our failures. I will be your first challenger at One Way Trip. And trust me, we're going to do things the fair way.....in a one on one match for the HAW World Championship!
Crash: Isn't that...exactly what I defeated Douglas in?
Mayor Briggs: ...Exactly.
Mayor Briggs winked and pointed at his head, then threw his mic down to exit the ring as his music started up again.
Edward Findleton: Well we already know our first match for One Way Trip! We'll find out more tonight! Stay tuned!
The music of Peter “Carnage” Horn hit, and he came out to the ring accompanied by his manager, Alfred Karneus.
Alfred Karneus: Good evening. For those who don't know, my name is Alfred Karneus, and this is Peter “Carnage” Horn....ah what am I saying. Of course you know! You all saw his debut on the European Tour. The strength, the dominance, the eternal fire in his eyes to destroy every wrestler in his path. The Book of Carnage continues tonight, as we defeat every wrestler in HAW. Let's see who belongs in the next chapter.
The Samurais of Power music played, and Ozzie Reagan, Sensei Onaga, and Trickshot all came out at the top of the ramp. The three huddled together for a quick discussion, before Trickshot sprinted down to the ring and slid in to the start the match.
In a match lasting for 2:37, Peter “Carnage” Horn defeated Trickshot with a Side Sitout Powerslam.
Edward Findleton: Domination shown by Peter “Carnage” Horn tonight! Trickshot got a few punches in right at the start, but Carnage dominated the remainder.
THE Casey Gains: Alfred Karneus has to be pleased. Chapter Two in the Book of Carnage has been successfully written!
Edward Findleton: I think this book may have a lot of chapters in it to come. Don't go anywhere as next up, we're going to have new details on the HAW Women's Tag Team Championship!
As HAW returned, Gregory Greystone was standing in the ring with six of the women on the roster.
Gregory Greystones: Hello ladies and gentlemen! I'm in the ring with the Women's Tag Team challengers! I've got the Summer Fun, Maple Blossom and Daisy Fields!
The crowd gave a mildly positive reaction.
Gregory Greystone: The newest members of the Strange Crew, Jessie Parran and Smiling Sally!
The crowd cheered as Jessie waved, though Sally seemed to stand eerily still, staring straight ahead.
Gregory Greystone: And of course, The Exotic Delights, Phueng Ahunai and Lela LaCruse!
The mood of the crowd changed as they boo'ed the women, who yelled insults towards the crowd.
Gregory Greystone: This is a huge moment in HAW History. All of you have a chance to make history as the first Tag Team Champions! Sally, what do you think about that?
Gregory held the mic to Smiling Sally's mouth. At first she didn't move, but then slowly turned her head to stare Gregory down. Gregory started to back up but Jessie Parran took the mic.
Jessie: Gregory, we would be honored to be the first champions. We would establish the foundation for this division, and strive to make these the most prestigious titles in the company!
Gregory: Thank you Jessie...and Sally.....uhh, moving on! Daisy, Maple, how about the two of you? Would this be a dream come true?
Maple: This is so cool right now. I'm in the ring talking to Gregory Greystone!
Daisy: Being in HAW right now is a dream come true. There's been times where like, we were at home watching this and taking-
Maple: Alcohol.
Daisy: ...Yeah, alcohol. And it FELT like we were here. But we're here now. It's like, so much more real, when you're in person.
Maple: And the lights? So bright. But then they can change color. It's trippy....oh what was your question?
Gregory: Well I was just asking-
Gregory was cut off as Lela and Phueng took the mic from his hands.
Lela: Oh God...this is our competition? Daisy Fields, Maple Blossom....I don't know how you passed the company physical to compete in the ring, but you're going to wish you failed when we're done.
Phueng: And Jessie...you think you can beat us? Last time we got involved in each other's business, you went home crying because you lost your boyfriend! Did you curl up into bed, suck your thumb as you cried and...what, mommy bought you a little doll? Aww, how sad. Poor little Jessie needs her dolly!
*Smiling Sally's head suddenly turned towards Phueng, and she started to approach her. Phueng began to back up, when new music started to play in the stadium. Everyone stopped and looked at the entrance ramp, as Crystal Cyclone and Rachel started to come down to the ring. The two seemed to nonchalantly walk down, ignoring the fans and rolling their eyes at the attempted high fives.*
Edward Findleton: Crystal Cyclone and Rachel...new looks, new music....and maybe new challengers?
As the two women stood in the ring, everyone stared at them. A few seconds went by, and Crystal finally put her hand out, as if waiting for something. Gregory finally got the hint, took the mic and placed it in her hand.
Crystal: Finally...you're all waiting to see what I have to say and none of you think to give me the mic? Typical....but expected. All of you are just so caught up in this petty high school soap opera BS. It's kinda gross, really. Whatever, you do you. Rachel and I? We don't really care. We just know what we need to do to get some respect, and that's win these titles. I mean....Freezerman already booked Rachel in a singles match against Mary Jane Elder next week? Why? What for? Is it even going to make the TV show, or will it be bumped to a dark match, or maybe just cut entirely? So look, we're sick of the disrespect. We're a team of Solo Girls, and we're entering as competitors in this match.
Crystal threw the mic down and exited the ring with Rachel.
THE Casey Gains: Well there it is! I guess we'll be seeing The Strange Crew vs The Exotic Delights vs Summer Fun vs....The Solo Girls? All four teams certainly have a chance Edward, I can tell you that!
As the ring cleared, “The Insomniac” Kenneth Cobb's music played, and he came down to the ring with the HAW National Championship.
Kenneth Cobb: It's been a long time since I've defended this. A lot of sleepless nights, just itching to get back in this ring...fighting for something meaningful. I'm ready. I want a challenger. I want to see who my next opponent is.
Cobb waited in the ring for a bit, when modern Christian music started to play, and out from the back came Pastor James.
Edward Findleton: I was really hoping we'd be done with James Calhoun but....here he is.
*Pastor James smiled as he made his way down to the ring. James extended his hand out for a shake, but Cobb left him hanging. James then took a step closer to Cobb....and wrapped his arms around him in a hug. After a few pats on the back, he let go and grabbed a mic*
Pastor James: Lord....thank you. Thank you allowing us to share in this moment. This beautiful moment...in HAW...in wrestling...in the world. Lord, you're allowing us this to happen and we thank you. I thank you, for giving me this opportunity, to right my wrongs and give me a second chance. I can never repay you. And thank you for giving Kenneth Cobb, this fine young gentleman, the courage to come out here to provide for his family.
Kenneth Cobb: Calhoun...
Pastor James: Please...call me Pastor James.
Kenneth Cobb: …....Calhoun. Listen...you should drop this right now because no one is believing this for a second.
Pastor James: Kenneth...doubt is a natural part of life. I do not judge you for doubting me. I understand you don't believe me. But Kenneth, I know that eventually, I will get you to close your eyes...and see the light. That hug we had earlier? That will be nothing compared to the warm, safe embrace of the good Lord above, as he helps you on your next journey. I'm sorry to say you won't have your National Championship on that journey but what you will have...is a new found faith. You don't need to thank me now. It's a lot to take in, my child. But you can find me when you're ready to thank you. Can I get an Amen!?
The crowd booed Pastor James, as his music played again and he left the ring.
THE Casey Gains: I'm not sure if Pastor James was threatening to kill Kenneth Cobb or what but....
Edward Findleton: But?
THE Casey Gains: Honestly Edward, I'm lost for words. I don't know what to say to explain this transformation of James Calhoun.
Edward Findleton: I'm not sure either, but one thing we know, the HAW National Championship was going to be defended at One Way Trip....it looks like it will be Kenneth Cobb vs Pastor James! And now, we're going to have our main event to see who will challenge Franco and Fergus O'Toole for the Tag Team titles!
Frederic St. Pierre and Lovable Liam came down to the ring first representing the Muscle Gang, while Viking and The Iconoclast followed as The Towering Blights. In a match that took 10:03, Lovable Liam pinned Viking.
Edward Findleton: A well fought match on both sides, but the teamwork of the MuscleGang overcame the size of the Towering Blights.
THE Casey Gains: Let's look at the end here, Liam didn't think he could get Viking up for the Tiger Bomb...but St. Pierre assisted in the lift, and at that point they just let gravity do the rest!
As the MuscleGang celebrated in the ring, Franco Mancini, Fergus O'Toole, and Sean O'Toole came out to the top of the stage. Getting the attention of the MuscleGang, the two teams stared each other down and kept their distance. Franco raised his tag title in the air, then turned around and led the O’Tooles to the back. Liam and Fred seemed to brush off the distraction, and went back to celebrating to end the show.
