The HAW Lockup intro started the show.
Eve Solace: Welcome to HAW Lockup! This is Eve Solace at ringside with Kitty Kayleen and Georgios Stanellis in Miami, Florida! We saw some great championship matches last week at One Way Trip, but now we get ready for Downtown Disaster!
As the lights in the arena dimmed and the laser show went off, Dark Raven and Void-N, the new tag team champions, entered the arena.
Eve Solace: The Dystopians looked great in their match last week. Kitty, do you see yourself getting a partner and challenging them?
Kitty Kayleen: Absolutely not.
Eve Solace: Any insight into your reasoning?
Kitty Kayleen: No!
Eve Solace: Ok…
In the ring, the Dystopians each grabbed a microphone.
Dark Raven: The world doubted us last week. Didn’t take these newcomers seriously. You all made a mistake. But that’s ok, because like it or now, a new era has arrived on the tag scene that will dominate.
Void-N: We are the best team. We heard from Delilah there are…challengers. They’re going to face each other next week, whomever wins, faces us. Nu Iota…Natasha York and Isabella Dawson, two girls more interested in partying and drinking than the changes of the world around them…and Ivy Clarke and Dixie Boyle, two people simply not worthy of our time. Whichever team wins next week, we have no problems destroying.
Dark Raven: These teams want to disrupt the order we’ve created. You fans…want this order disrupted. It won’t happen.
Void-N: We are warning you all now. Order is everything. Disobedience is lack of order. Effort is disobedience..and compliance is defeat. We’ll see the winners soon.
With that, The Dystopians exited the ring, heading towards the back.
Backstage, Bethany Watts stood staring into the camera, holding the HAW National Championship.
Bethany Watts: Last week, I became the first ever woman to win the HAW National championship. I did it the way I was brought up, through hard work, winning that tournament. That’s why I’m going to continue working hard…defending this title every single week in an open challenge! I’m happy to announce my first challenger tonight…will be Rachel!
Bethany waited for the crowd to quiet down before continuing.
Bethany Watts: …Now see, for those who don’t know, I had all three of my kids before I was 21. I knew my whole life I wasn’t everyone's cup of tea, that I could fight and was one tough mother. So not only have I proven to my children that your goals are achievable, I want to show them they can challenge themselves…and to ultimately one day fail. I know I’m not holding this title forever, it’s the business…and that’s ok. Because I know until that day happens, the locker room better start making excuses as I kick their ass every week! See you out there soon.
At ringside, Sabrina Nova’s music started up, and she made her way down to the ring.
Eve Solace: Last week Sabrina Nova was supposed to face Moonlight, but was attacked by Smiling Sally. She’s looking to redeem herself in a match against Crystal Cyclone tonight.
Crystal Cyclone made her entrance, but without her partner usual partner, Rachel.
Kitty Kayleen: Absolutely stupid of her to not have Rachel out here. Who cares if she’s wrestling Bethany later?
Georgios Stanellis: Exactly. If Kitty has a match, she knows I’ll always be in her corner, and I know she’s always got my back if I wrestle.
The match started and was fast paced. Both women looked great in the ring, with Crystal mostly dominating, but Sabrina Nova managed to maneuver into a victory roll, and pinned Crystal in an upset in 6:14.
Kitty Kayleen: Sabrina Nova wins her first ever match in HAW! What a great win for her!
Sabrina quickly rolled out of the ring, clapping hands with a few fans before promptly making her way backstage, as Crystal remained frustrated in the ring. The camera followed Sabrina back behind the curtains, where a few people congratulated her, before Kherti Bhakta approached her.
Kherti Bhakta: Hey, congratulations on that first win!
Sabrina Nova: Thank you! It’s a really special moment I’ll always remember. And…I want to thank you too. I know last week nothing went as planned for either of us but…I appreciate you trying to…avenge me, I suppose.
Kherti Bhakta: There’s a lot of bullies around here, and it’s especially hard on rookies. I know, I was in your shoes once. I just want to make the path easier for you than it was for me.
Sabrina Nova: That means a lot Kherti, thank you!
Kherti Bhakta: One final thing…you’re not…one of them alien visitor people, right? With…Nova and weird galactic imagery all over you?
Sabrina Nova: Hell no! Space is just cool!
Kherti and Sabrina shared a laugh, and Kherti gave her a quick hug before Sabrina was on her way, where she next ran into Bethany Watts.
Bethany Watts: …Good job kid. But if you’re ever in the ring with me, a victory roll won’t cut it. It’ll be a war, and you better expect a black eye….just like I’d expect to receive a broken nose from you.
Watts held her hand out in a fist bump as a sign of respect, and Sabrina nodded and bumped fist, as Watts departed. Nova kept walking, but now, walked into Rachel.
Rachel: …Where I come from, we call that…beginners luck. Don’t get too cocky with your pathetic, fluke win. You’ll get yours, one day.
Rachel pushed Sabrina out of the way and moved forward, the camera now following Rachel. Crystal Cyclone had made her way back, holding her neck.
Rachel: You ok?
Crystal Cyclone: Yeah…just…that victory roll pulled something. They want me to go to medical but…go out there and win that title.
Crystal gave Rachel a slap on the back and Rachel continued on towards the entrance way, just as Bethany Watts’ music started, making her first entrance as champion, holding the title proudly. Rachel followed next, going solo as well.
Eve Solace: Neither Solo Girl had their partner tonight, Rachel will want to hope she has better luck than Crystal!
As the match started, Bethany Watts showed no hesitation, inflicting pain upon Rachel. Rachel had a few rallies, and almost hit the Pump Handle Suplex on Watts, but Watts fought out of it, and reversed into a Backbreaker, pinning Rachel for her first successful defense in 11:19.
Eve Solace: A solid win by “No Nonsense” Bethany Watts!
Georgios Stanellis: A total blown opportunity by Rachel as well.
Eve Solace: Well sometimes you face a tough opponent who-
Georgios Stanellis: I’m saying Rachel should have postponed the match until Crystal came back! That had to throw off her whole strategy!
Kitty Kayleen: Exactly! And Eve, please just TRY and pay attention to the point Georgios is trying to make from now on, ok?
Eve Solace: …Er, my apologies…I’ll just move on to our final segment, where we’re going to hear from someone who wants to challenge Penny “The Hammer” Downs, and, the HAW Women’s World Champion herself!
Penny “The Hammer” Downs walked out holding a steel chair in one hand and the title in the other. As she got to the ring, she simply unfolded the chair and sat down in it, awaiting her challenger.
At that point, the lights dimmed, and green lines of code appeared on the jumbotron. Moonlight walked out with Smiling Sally tally in tow, and entered the ring. She walked a few circles around the sitting Penny, before stopping in front of her, with Sally standing behind Penny.
Moonlight: It’s true. I positioned myself as the challenger. And, rightfully so. I’ve had a strong, if underappreciated, run so far. But last week, rising up to the challenge of facing a former Women’s World Champion, without preparation? And defeating her? That’s quite the feat, wouldn’t you agree?
Penny “The Hammer” Downs: Defeating Kherti Bhakta is impressive. Having that…thing at ring side, its mere presence a distraction? ….I’m not too swayed. That’s your case?
Moonlight: Hypocritical, isn’t it? You felt vindicated, a true champion when you beat her with a second competitor in the ring. Smiling Sally didn’t interfere at all, and you’re completely dismissing me.
Penny “The Hammer” Downs: I’ll tell you what, I’ll defend this against you, if it’s a one on one fight.
Moonlight: Hm, one on one. Sounds like you’re afraid. But you don’t need to be afraid of Sally, she’s completely harmless.
Moonlight went up to Sally, and yanked on Sally’s hair. The collar on her neck, which had shown a steady green light, briefly went out, before going back to green again.
Moonlight: See? She won’t hurt you, unless you give her reason.
Penny stood up and approached Moonlight.
Penny “The Hammer” Downs: I don’t trust you a bit. But I don’t need to trust you. I just need to beat you. So I expect to get on Sally’s bad side, to get on your bad side, and that’s ok. I’m ready for it. I just have one final suggestion. Take out your little laptop, do your little “hacking,” and update your record to having a loss at Downtown Disaster!
Penny threw the mic down and pushed Moonlight to the ground. Smiling Sally took a step towards Penny, but Penny didn’t react. Frustrated, Moonlight rolled out of the ring, and yelled for Sally to follow her. Sally stayed put, and Moonlight screamed louder and angrier, and Sally finally exited the ring. Penny held her title up, the show ending with a shot of her.
