Week 4 – PPV

Su Jun: Welcome to VCW! I’m Su Jun, I’m joined by Chet Citrus, and what you’re about to see isn’t just the biggest show of the Summer, this is the biggest show in VCW History!

Chet Citrus: Ohhh yes you are so correct, you can feel that groove in the air!

Jensen West vs Kenjiro Tsujimoto

The show wasted no time starting, as Jensen West made his way down to the ring waving the American flag. As he stood in the ring waiting for his opponent, a large group of soldiers in navy and gold uniforms walked out onto the stage.

The soldiers formed a choir for Kenjiro Tsujimoto’s music, and parted as he walked onto thes tage. Kenjiro stopped and turned his back to look at his soldiers, and at that moment, a large flag of his face unfurled from the entrance scaffolding. Kenjiro stared up at it in reverence, and a single tear seemed to fall from his eye, until a soldier quickly came over with a handkerchief to dab the tear away. With that, Tsujimoto turned back towards the ring and strolled to the ring.

The match was hard fought, and Kenjiro came close many times to being pinned by Jensen. Having enough, Kenjiro grabbed the American flag West had in the corner, and looked like he was about to swing it at him. West however grabbed it, and was about to hit Kenjiro with it, when referee Adam Burton grabbed it from his hands. Burton turned his back to hand the flag to staff outside the ring, and Tsujimoto hit West with a blatant low blow, then delivered a Cradle Back to Belly Piledriver to pick up the victory.

An exhausted Kenjiro raised his hands proudly as his soldiers helped him to the back.

Jason Fa’amatu vs Ralph Talon

The Polynesian Powerhouse, Jason Fa’amatu had walked from out back, but barely made it a few steps before Ralph Talon attacked him from behind with a chain wrapped around his knuckles. Talon continued his attack as they got closer to the ring, throwing Jason into the ringside steps.

Chet Citrus: Yowza it’s practically a hardcore battle and this match ain’t even begun!

The beatdown continued until Fa’amatu found a fan’s soda, grabbed it, and threw it in the eyes of Ralph Talon, temporarily blinding him, giving Jason the moment to crawl into the ring. Ralph Talon was forced to go into the ring, and referee Heidi O’Neill called for the bell.

Su Jun: The match is underway and if Ralph Talon tries to use any weapons, that’s going to be a DQ!

Fa’amatu was hurt, but now started to build momentum outwrestling Ralph Talon. He eventually managed to wear Talon down and hit a Samoan Driver, picking up the victory.

Hurt, bruised, and his face swelling, Fa’amatu looked both pleased at the match, and annoyed at the amount of damage he had taken, and walked away from Talon in disgust.

Live Rounds (Torpedo Man and Bullet Boy) vs El Espectro and El Termitas II

The next match was the VCW Tag Team Championship, with the challengers, the Live Rounds, coming out first and looking to pump the crowd up. The champions El Espectro and El Termitas II followed.

The match started off with a lot of aerial maneuvers from Torpedo Man, Bullet Boy, and even El Termitas II, until El Espectro used his size advantage to slow it down. The defending champions started to regain control, but sealed things away when El Espectro pinned Bullet Boy, putting his feet on the rope for leverage.

The Live Rounds were complaining to referee Adam Burton after the match, but the decision was final. The team then went to complain to the champions, who responded by clocking the Live Rounds in the head with the titles. Espectro and Termitas started to beat down Bullet and Torpedo, until Nuclear Disaster ran out. Chaz Nuclear and Blast Hamilton got to the ring and scared the champs off, aiding the Live Rounds and helping them back to their feet.

Cambria Moorcraft vs Darya Yashin

The next match saw two very serious, no nonsense entrances from first Cambria Moorcraft, then Darya Yashin.

Su Jun: These two have been at it all summer, and it’s coming to a head tonight! Cambria Moorcraft and Darya Yashin, who has adopted the moniker of the “The Dire Lynx”!

The match was non-stop and equal in every way. Moorcraft and Yashin each hit finishers and got kick outs, and it was looking to be another draw in their rivalry. The stiff, hard hitting match could have gone either way, but Darya Yashin got Moorcraft to the ground, and locked in a Koji Clutch submission. Moorcraft started to fade, and eventually tapped out.

Yashin looked exhausted and spent, but proud of her victory. Moorcraft slowly got to her feet and extended a hand for a handshake, showing respect. Instead, Darya Yashin slapped her hand away and simply left the ring.

Dina Darzi vs Nadine Reza-Darzi

In an unusual entrance for this next match, Nazir Darzi’s theme played, and Nazir led out Dina and Nadine. Before the match, he made both women shake hands, trying to play peacekeeper, but the shake was tense.

Chet Citrus: Oh baby some family drama! We got servitude vs divorce on the line, I know that Mama and Papa Darzi back home won’t be happy with whatever goes down!

Dina showed some great wrestling ability, and Nadine showed some great ring awareness, often in the form of bending the rules and cheating. Dina managed to build momentum and overcome the cheating, and hit an Overhead Belly to Belly Suplex. She went to cover an unconscious Nadine, but at the last moment, Nazir took Nadine’s foot and put it on the ropes, causing a rope break.

Dina couldn’t believe it, and leaned over the ropes, arguing with Nazir. He put his hands up, apologizing and pleading. Dina was so distracted, she didn’t realize Nadine had recovered, crept up behind her, and quickly hit a Half Nelson Suplex. Nadine scrambled to cover Dina, and picked up the pinfall.

Nazir rushed into the ring, hugging Nadine and celebrating. As Dina started to regain her senses, she looked at her brother, hurt more so emotionally by his actions than anything else. He seemed to start to apologize, but Nadine stepped in between the siblings, then beckoned Dina to stand. A groggy Dina got to her feet, and Nadine pointed to the middle rope. Begrudgingly, Dina sat on the rope, giving a grinning Nadine an easier ring exit. With that, the Darzi family retreated to the back.

Rene Pauline Galiardi vs Adriana Gomez

The challenger RPG came out first, the young rookie showing an eagerness, while the champion Adriana Gomez had a fire in her eyes showing tonight won’t be her last night as champion.

This was a back and forth match. Rene had a few close chances to win, and that was getting Gomez visibly frustrated. At one point, Gomez started to run the ropes, and Galiardi was dodging her attacks. On one of the dodges, Adriana “accidentally” hit referee Heidi O’Neill, sending her to the mat. RPG was concerned and immediately went to check on her, while Gomez quickly exited the ring. Looking under the ring, she found a piece of 2x4 plywood.

Adriana Gomez went into the ring, and was lining RPG up. However, Mysterie came running down the ramp. Gomez had her back turned, and before she could swing it, Mysterie grabbed the wood out of her hands. This finally alerted RPG, and she turned her attention back to Gomez.

RPG managed to quickly get control, and got Gomez onto the turnbuckle, where she delivered a Spider German Suplex. O’Neill was starting to come to, and RPG covered, becoming the new HAW Women’s Champion.

Su Jun: Wow! Just two months into her VCW career and RPG can call herself Women’s Champion! What a start to her time here!

In the ring, Mysterie raised RPG’s hands, as she celebrated her accomplishment. The two hugged, but jumping the barrier from the crowd were Isabella Dawson and Natasha York, Nu Iota from HAW. The two blasted Mysterie and RPG from behind. With the title on the ground, Nu Iota picked it up and held it above their heads, then walked off with it.

Blaze Kurosawa vs Leon Baron

The main event saw Blaze Kurosawa challenge the VCW Men’s Champion Leon Baron.

Baron had been on a dominant run in VCW, but Blaze looked determined as the two men went eye to eye before the match began.

Blaze came out fighting fierce, and had Leon on the ropes a bit. There was a moment of shock in the audience, when Blaze hit his Enzuiguri. Baron looked dazed, stumbled off against the ropes, then bounced back towards Kurosawa who hit a second Enzuiguri, felling Leon. Blaze went for a cover, confident he’d win, but Leon Baron kicked out at the very last possible moment.

That proved to be Blaze’s best shot, as Baron started to recover, gain momentum, and hit a few thunderous slams before delivering a Canadian Destroyer to Blaze. Leon covered him, and retained his title.

After the match, Leon assisted Blaze to his feet. While Kurosawa looked disappointed, Leon shook his hand, then raised his hand and applauded him. Kurosawa bowed, and left the ring for Leon to end the show, pumping the crowd up as VCW signed off.
