HAW has traveled to Chicago, Illinois
to check out Alpha Wolf Wrestling! The venue tonight was a small
theater with about a thousand fans packed in! Freezerman sat on his
own private balcony and waved to the crowd, getting a mixed reaction
of respectful cheers and AWW loyalist booing him. He seemed to take
it in stride, and the show begun!
The first match of the evening featured
Sentinel and Phoenix taking on Chucky Arter and Eric Waves. Phoenix
grabbed a microphone before the match, and said he knows that after
tonight, Freezerman won't just offer him a contract, but that he'll
offer his mentor, Sentinel, a contract as well. The crowd erupted
into a “You Deserve It” chant as Sentinel waved to the crowd and
thanked them. Without warning, Chucky Arter and Eric Waves slid out
from under the ring, and attacked the fan favorites from behind! The
bell rang, and the match was on!
Arter and Waves had the upper hand
early on thanks to their sneak attack, and spent most of their time
isolating Phoenix. Phoenix grabbed the rope during a submission by
Waves, who started yelling at the ref. Not pay attention to Phoenix,
he managed to tag in Sentinel. Sentinel ran into the ring, attacking
Waves, knocking Arter off the apron, and then going back to Eric
Waves, to finish him off and pin him. The crowd cheered, and Phoenix
pointed up to Freezerman, then to himself and Sentinel. Freezerman
nodded, and wrote some notes on a paper.
A video was shown hyping the next
match, Mary Jane Elder vs Phueng Ahunai with Lela LaCruse. Mary Jane
was interviewed backstage after, where she said that where she comes
from down south, she knows you gotta grab the bull by the horns
because opportunities like tonight don't come often. She says Phueng
and Lela are good friends of hers, but she has to do what's best for
her.
Mary Jane then made her way to the
ring, followed shortly by Phueng and Lela. Both were dressed in
cheerleader outfits, and as the match started, Lela tried to lead the
crowd with “Gimme a P! Gimme a H,' to help Phueng, but they seemed
more supportive of Mary Jane. Mary Jane Elder seemed to have control
the entire match, and finally pinned Phueng Ahunai.
The main event saw THE Casey Gains vs
Chaotic Crow, in what was being called Casey Gains' retirement match.
The match started with THE Casey Gains setting the pace and slowing
down the younger Chaotic Crow. Casey then missed a spear and hit the
turnbuckle, giving Chaotic Crow an opening. He fought back and
overcame Casey. Chaotic Crow went for the pin and seemed to have the
match in the bag, but Casey seemed to accidentally gouge the ref's
eye during his kick out attempt, right before the three count. Crow
let up on the pin, and Casey apologized to the ref, asking for
medical to come out.
As the medical team was tending to the
referee, Casey and Crow were standing in the ring, a look of concern
on both of their faces. Casey started to walk away and behind Chaotic
Crow, before turning around and delivering a low blow! Casey grabbed
the ref away from the medical team, and quickly went for a pin on
Crow. The ref gave a three count, and Casey celebrated. He grabbed a
microphone and said that this retirement match meant nothing to him,
and he's not going to let future generations tarnish his legacy. In
fact, he's already been signed to HAW as their new color commentator!
THE Casey Gains thanked Freezerman, and the crowd booed him heavily.
With that, Freezerman and the HAW crew left the show, leaving THE
Casey Gains to relish in the hatred of the fans.
