Dark Matches: The Insomniac Kenneth Cobb defeated local talent Georgios Stanellis, The O’Toole Brothers defeated local talents Dexter Burns/Wesley Wagner

The HAW Theme played to kick off the show.

Edward Findleton: Welcome to HAW! We are in Atlantic City for HAW Shootout, as four titles will be on the line tonight!

THE Casey Gains: Athena and Kitty Kayleen for the Women’s Championship, Lovable Liam and Frederic St. Pierre defend against Douglas Brunswick and Mayor Briggs for the Tag Team Championship, a main event of Crash MuscleGate against Viking for the World Championship. But this show is kicking off with the HAW National Championship!

El Termitas II’s music played as he ran down to the ring, full of energy and slapping hands with the crowd as he did a full lap along ringside!

THE Casey Gains: He didn’t slap my hand Edward! He went behind us to the fans!

Edward Findleton: You see him every week!

THE Casey Gains: It’s disrespectful!

Pastor James made his way out next, clutching the HAW National Championship. Before getting into the ring, he seemed to close his eyes and say a prayer to the title, then walked in the ring. James went up to El Termitas II with an extended hand, and El Termitas II reluctantly shook it. Referee Dennis Thompson then tried to take the title away from James, who started to hand it over, before charging El Termitas II with it attempting to blast him. Termitas saw this however, ducked, and hit Pastor James with a backflip kick, stunning James and causing him to drop the title. El Termitas II quickly rolled up James, and Thompson rushed over and threw the belt outside the ring, then called for the bell. He immediately went for the count, but James kicked out at the very last moment.

Edward Findleton: We almost had a three second match!

El Termitas II continued his offensive flurry, using his speed and energy to keep the larger Calhoun grounded and unable to react. Termitas used every bit of the ring to his advantage, springboarding off top ropes or sliding under bottom ones to keep James off his game. Pastor James was very wobbly, and Termitas got in position, and the Shiraunai on Pastor James.

THE Casey Gains: Unbelievable! We may have a new champion!

Termias didn’t immediately go for the cover. He instead paced around a bit, before finally standing over Pastor James, and could be heard yelling.

El Termitas II: You never speak about my family again! You don’t judge us! You don’t disrespect my children! Do you hear me?!

James suddenly reached up and grabbed El Tertmias II’s mask, and started to try to rip it off. Termitas fought to keep it on, but in the struggled, James managed to spin the mask enough so Termitas’ eyes were covered. As Termitas tried to rearrange the mask, James got behind him and delivered a Cobra Clutch Slam with his last bit of strength.

THE Casey Gains: And El Termitas made this personal and may have just cost himself the match!

Both men were down and in pain. Dennis Thompson started counting, and slowly both wrestlers were up at the nine count. Termitas couldn’t use his speed, and as he stood up, walked into a Pastor James clothesline. James waited for Termitas to get up again, and this time delivered a second Cobra Clutch Slam, knocking El Termitas out. Dennis Thompson looked ready to count for the pin, but James waved his finger at him. Pastor James picked the limp body of El Termitas II up a second time, and delivered yet another Cobra Clutch Slam. James finally collapsed to the ground and covers El Termitas for the victory.

Announcer Bradley Wallace: Here is your winner and STILL HAW National Champion, Pastor James!

A weak James grabbed his title and held it up in victory, before departing up the ramp.

Edward Findleton: We were this close to seeing a new champion…..but as you said, the pride of El Termitas II got the better of him tonight.

THE Casey Gains: I never wanted to shake hands with a loser like him anyway.

Edward Findleton: …I don’t even know what to say to you. I guess I’ll just tell everyone to stick around, the women’s match is up next!

Athena was backstage walking, when she walked past Kherti Bhakta, who stopped her.

Kherti: Athena!

Athena: I’m going on in a minute Kherti, can it wait?

Kherti: I just wanted to tell you…be careful with Mitchell Row out there. I know you can handle it yourself, but I just respect you too much to see a title reign end due to interference.

Athena: Thanks Kherti. I’m aware of his tricks, you won’t have to worry.

Athena smiled and walked away from Kherti towards the arena.

Moments later her music played, and out came the Women’s Champion. As Athena got to the ring, she spoke some words to Referee Brenda Moses. The challenger, Kitty Kayleen came out next, Mitchell Row alongside her.

The match began with both wrestlers being cautious, hitting deliberate strikes. Kitty Kayleen then managed to swing momentum in her favor with a back body drop, and started to apply chinlocks and headlocks to Athena. Athena tried to counter by strike Kitty’s arms, then going to the ropes to break up the holds. Athena was favoring her neck, and Kitty rubbing her arms, but Kitty managed to keep attacking Athena.

Kitty had knocked Athena to the ground, and then went for an elbow drop, but Athena moved out of the way. Kitty grasped her arm in pain, and Athena quickly locked in a cross armbreaker. Kitty was struggling, and in desperation, started to bite Athena’s leg, causing her to let go of the hold.

Athena held her leg, looking upset, and as Kitty started to make her way to her feet, Athena grabbed her by the hair and pulled her down to the mat. Athena then started delivering knee drops to Kitty’s arm. Mitchell Row saw enough and got up on the apron and started waving his arms, but Athena and Brenda Moses ignored him. Athena’s attack on Kitty continued, and Mitchell got into the ring now, still shouting for attention.

Athena picked up Kitty Kayleen, then looked at Mitchell and motioned for him to hit her. Athena then delivered the Queen Suplex to Kitty Kayleen. Brenda Moses got down to count, but right before 3, Mitchell Row stopped Brenda’s arm from hitting the mat.

Brenda stood up and yelled at Row, who backed up and put his hands up as if he didn’t do anything. Brenda Moses got back down for the count, and delivered a fast three count, though Kitty got her shoulder up before the final count. Brenda Moses called for the bell, and quickly held up Athena’s hand.

THE Casey Gains: What?! Kitty kicked out!

Edward Findleton: Kitty was out for the original three count! This should have been the outcome all along!

THE Casey Gains: Complete bias was shown here Edward! Unprofessional behavior!

Edward FIndleton: The fact is, Athena was the better wrestler tonight. And honestly, if Kitty had kicked out she probably would have gotten pinned later anyway!

THE Casey Gains: We’ll never know now Edward, will we? This classic match, ruined by incompetent-

Edward Findleton: Interference, incompetent interference! I agree!

Backstage, the MuscleGang was getting ready.

Crash: So you guys are sure?

Frederic St. Pierre: We can handle these two. Oden should be in your corner to mitigate The Iconoclast.

Lovable Liam: It worked last time for you!

Crash: Alright, good luck guys. We believe in you.

Oden: Crush them!

In the arena, Douglas Brunswick and Mayor Briggs made their entrance, both men looking confident, followed by an equally as confident MuscleGang.

Referee Tom Hunter called for the bell to ring, and Liam and Mayor Briggs started things off. Briggs started off by copying his strategy against Crash, staying in the corner, but this time Liam just started attacking Briggs, manhandling him and throw him to the center of the ring. Liam whipped Briggs to the ropes and hit a powerslam, helped Briggs up for another whip into powerslam, then followed the pattern two more times. Liam stood up and shouted to pump up the crowd.

Liam started to size up Briggs, waiting for him to get to his knees to get in position for a Tiger Bomb. As Liam grabbed Briggs and picked him up, Mayor Briggs spit into Liam’s eye, causing him to drop Briggs, who was able to tumble free. Briggs started striking Liam pinning him against the ropes, then took a few steps and hit a flying clothesline, sending both men outside of the ring. Briggs then took Liam and placed him on the announcer’s table.

Edward Findleton: Hey watch out! My notes are there!

Briggs climbed up on the ring apron, then jumped off, hitting a splash onto Lovable Liam and collapsing the announcer’s table.

THE Casey Gains: And both men are in serious pain from that!

Tom Hunter started a count, and slowly, Briggs and Liam were able to get to the ring, each making a tag to their partner.

Edward Findleton: A stalemate between those two, what will we get with Brunswick and St. Pierre, two of the most technically skilled wrestlers in the world?

St. Pierre tried to go for takedowns on Brunswick’s legs, but Brunswick was too fast. During a miss, Brunswick got behind St. Pierre, and started to apply an abdominal stretch.  As Tom Hunter checked on St. Pierre, Brunswick grabbed onto the ropes for extra leverage, then let go before Hunter could see. Frederic started to stomp on the foot of Douglas, finally causing him to break the hold.

St. Pierre then started to focus solely on Brunswick’s injured foot, sweeping his leg out then stomping it. Brunswick fought back by blocking a stomp then kicking St. Pierre in the ribs with his other foot. Brunswick struggled to his feet but couldn’t put all his weight on it, while St. Pierre struggled to breath holding his side. He tried to maintain momentum and went after Douglas, but Douglas managed to pick up Frederic and hit a gutbuster. The force of St. Pierre’s weight also managed to do damage to Brunswick’s foot, who continued to favor it. Brunswick crawled over to St. Pierre, and delivered elbows to his rib cage, as St. Pierre kept taking the hits, until he frantically forced his way to Brunswick’s lower body and grabbed his ankle, locking in an ankle lock. Brunswick was in pain but grabbed the ropes for a break.

Both men went to separate areas to gather themselves. Douglas used the ropes to stand up while Frederic was coughing and struggling to breath.

THE Casey Gains: This isn’t a hardcore match but these two probably took years off of each other’s career tonight!

St. Pierre stumbled towards Brunswick, and with Brunswick standing on his good foot, swung his injured one out to kick St. Pierre in the midsection. St. Pierre was doubled over, and Brunswick got behind him for a position of the Lifting Reverse DDT. Brunswick tried to lift up St. Pierre, but the weight was too much and his leg gave out. St. Pierre quickly turned around and hit Brunswick with a Butterfly DDT. Tom Hunter went to the mat for the pin, and counted to three.

Announcer Bradley Wallace: The winners of this match and STILL HAW Tag Team Champions, Frederic St. Pierre and Lovable Liam, the MuscleGang!

Edward Findleton: Nothing but an amazing effort from all four competitors in this match! We had some destruction in the first half and some classic wrestling in the second, and the MuscleGang comes out holding the titles.

THE Casey Gains: I know Briggs and Brunswick can’t be happy with this losing streak, but sometimes in losses, you come out stronger. I think they definitely gained a whole lot of respect across this company after tonight.

Edward Findleton: So we know Liam and Frederic retain, the question is, can Crash?

Backstage, Viking was warming up, the Iconoclast helping him.

Iconoclast: Hey man, you got this tonight. You remember when you came here? You had to win to get a contract. You had to win to get that World Championship. You have to win tonight. That’s your destiny, failure isn’t an option.

Viking: I don’t plan to lose. Crash is going to crash and burn tonight…Let’s go.

Viking’s music hit, and he came down to the ring with The Iconoclast. Moment’s later the World Champion Crash MuscleGate came out accompanied by Oden Schreiner.

The match began, and both competitors stepped towards each other for a staredown, with Viking towering over Crash.

Edward Findleton: Crash MuscleGate is not a cruiserweight wrestler…but with Viking, Oden, and Iconoclast out here, he looks like one!

Crash and Viking exchanged some words, then backed up. Crash bounced off the ropes to try and hit a running crossbody but Viking caught him, and slammed him right to the ground. Viking stood up and raised his fist in the air and screamed, while Crash thrashed on the ground in pain. Viking wasted no time and picked Crash up into a gorilla press, then tossed him outside the ring.

Crash hit the ground hard, and Viking followed him out, whipping Crash into the ring steps. VIking continued his onslaught, lifting Crash into the air and throwing him face first into the ringpost.

Edward Findleton: Absolutely destruction of Crash MuscleGate outside the ring!

Viking then whipped Crash into the barricade, and charged at him attempting a shoulder block. Crash dodged and Viking flew right into the barricade, knocking it down.

THE Casey Gains: The ring crew’s job is going to be easy dismantling tonight! No announce table, now no barricade!

Crash crawled to the ring, and Viking followed after him, favoring his shoulder. As Viking stood on the apron, Crash attempted to hit the Dropkick, but Viking held the ropes and leaned back. As Crash fell to the ground, Viking laughed and came into the ring.

Viking: Your feet barely reach my chest!

Viking started to pick Crash up, but Crash wrapped Viking up in a small package for a pin. Dennis Thompson counted but Viking kicked out at 2. Crash got to his feet first, and started to kick Viking. Viking was now struggling to get up, as Crash’s assault continued.

With Viking on the ground, Crash jumped on his back and locked in his Camel Clutch, Physical Tear-apy. Viking looked like he was going to tap, but slowly started to get to his feet. Viking stood up then backed into a corner, crushing Crash between the ringpost and his body. Crash stumbled around dazed, and Viking grabbed both of his hands around Crash’s throat.

THE Casey Gains: It’s going to be the Throat Toss!

Viking lifted Crash in the air and tossed him with the Throat Toss, but Crash managed to keep his orientation. His feet landed on the middle rope, and Crash used it as a springboard to jump off, and hit Viking square in the face with the Dropkick, now getting the necessary height. Viking fell to the ground, and Crash quickly covered him, as the three count was made.

Announcer Bradley Wallace: Here is your winner and STILL HAW World Champion, Crash MuscleGate!

Crash celebrated in the ring with Oden for a bit, while Iconoclast looked at Viking dejected.

Edward Findleton: What a match, and Crash Musclegate sleighs the giant!

Crash left the ring with Oden, still holding the title in the air, while Iconoclast went inside to check on Viking. Viking had gone to the corner, sitting on the ground. Viking reached out to the Iconoclast for a hand to help him up, but The Iconoclast shook his head in disappointment and took a few steps back. He then charged Viking, hitting him with the Cannonball Senton.

Edward Findleton: What?! After the match?!

Viking was out cold, and The Iconoclast stood over him, showing no remorse. The Iconoclast walked to the back as the crowd booed and officials came to help Viking.

THE Casey Gains: I think the Towering Blights are over Edward…

Edward Findleton: You’re probably right Casey…and I know Shootout is over now. But HAW will be back next week as we get ready for HAW Vindication. Good night everybody.

The show ended with one last shot of Viking, non responsive as medics tended to him.
