Dark Matches: Summer Fun (Maple Blossom, Daisy Fields) defeated local talent Juliet Sims and Cafa Kaufman, Solo Girls (Crystal Cyclone and Rachel) defeated local talent Lauren Wood and Maisy Lane.
Edward Findleton: Welcome to HAW! We’re in San Francisco, California, and we’re just one week away from our season finale, End of the Trail!
Peter “Carnage” Horn’s music started up at that point.
Edward Findleton: And I think we have our first match coming up, as we’re told Peter will be wrestling tonight!
Seconds went by, but instead of Horn, out came Mimic dressed as Horn.
Bradley Wallace: Making his way to the ring….Feeder, Farmage, Corn!
THE Casey Gains: Oh. Because that name makes sense, right?
Farmage/Mimic walked down to the ring, looking as intimidating as possible. As Horn’s music went off, Farmage looked up the ramp, until Horn’s music hit a second time.
Bradley Wallace: And his opponent, Peter “Carnage” Horn!
This time, the real Peter Horn came out, with Alfred Karneus, who took a mic as he got into the ring.
Alfred Karneus: I thought for a second I’d give you the benefit of the doubt before writing your name in Chapter 10 of the Book of Carnage…but after this mockery of the finest physical specimen this planet has? I’m going to pre-emptively title this chapter “Mimic.”
Mimic grabbed the microphone out of Karneus’s hands.
Mimic: I don’t take offense to that, because I’m probably losing. But are you confident enough to already write Fun Fight Machine’s name down? Or do you think Mr. Carnage is going to lose?
Horn had enough and punched Mimic. The bell rang, and Carnage defeated Farmage in 42 seconds after a Side Sitout Powerslam.
Edward Findleton: The expected result that even Mimic knew, but he has a point, next week, someone will close out the year with their first loss!
THE Casey Gains: Fun Fight Machine, Peter Horn, two wrestlers at the top of their game!
Edward Findleton; And speaking of two wrestlers at the top of their game…
THE Casey Gains: I wasn’t even trying to segue!
Edward Findleton: We are about to to get out final confrontation between The Bean…and Franco Mancini!
The Bean’s music hit and he came down to the ring, with Ruslan Panov and Kenneth Cobb by his side. Shortly after, Franco’s music played, and he came out with the O’Tooles, but also, the NRWL Championship around his shoulder. As they all joined the ring, Franco held the NRWL Championship up in the air, right in front of Bean’s face, laughing as he did so.
Franco: You like that? This is what you want? I mean…Bean, I almost want to give it to you, if you desire this so badly. I found this in a box up in the attic, and honestly that was just by chance because I was looking for the Christmas decorations.
The Bean: You know, you can joke and disrespect me, the title…but I know deep down, you’re actually a little afraid that you’re going to lose
Franco: Hey, I ain’t losing.
The Bean: But wouldn’t it be so embarrassing when you lose to the old retired guy? That’s almost as embarrassing as seeing the O’Tooles get beat across this ring by Panov and Cobb next week at End of the Trail!
The crowd cheered at this, angering the O’Tooles.
Sean: We are former champions, we are brothers, we have years of experience, and we’re not going to lose to some low life street fighters like these two!
Ruslan Panov: My word of warning to you….don’t underestimate us. I want a fair fight with prepared opponents.
Fergus: None of you scare us. We….we are a family. You three? Just a random group thrown together! We care about each other, and family will prevail!
Kenneth Cobb: You know…I sorta get your point. But when you say we don’t care? It just ain’t true. I remember being a young kid, staying up late watching NRWL…I remember watching The Bean. The guy was my hero. He got me into wrestling. I know my path hasn’t been the same as his but…I care about him.
Ruslan Panov: And me…I’m a bit older that Kenneth here, and Bean…a little younger than you.
The Bean: Just a little!
Ruslan Panov: Not too much! But…you three have been here long enough that…you should be some of the most respected people in this company. A day one tag team. A multi time World champion. And yet, no one likes you. And it’s because you don’t honor the past. You don’t care about the ones who came before you. We’re nothing without the pioneers who helped us get here. So I consider this upcoming match, my thank you to the Bean.
Franco: All of this is cute. Really cute. You love him. Good for you three. But it doesn’t change the fact that number one, the O’Tooles will win next week, and number two, I will be the last ever NRWL Champion, long may I reign!
The Bean eyed up the Championship, and Franco noticed.
Franco: Hey, I see you. Here, hold it.
Franco threw the title to The Bean who caught it.
Franco: Doesn’t that feel good? It brings you back to your prime…to those cheers, the exhilaration you felt, lifting it high in the air…it’s all flooding back to you, holding this in your hands once again.
The Bean stared at the title a bit, until Franco yanked it back.
Franco: …..And as quick as that, your dream will end when I pin you. But hey…after our match, you can thank me. For a few seconds tonight…I made you feel happiness again.
Franco threw the microphone down and exited the ring with The O’Tooles, as the Bean, Panov, and Cobb followed a short bit later.
Edward Findleton: I really wish that match was next week Casey, but we’ll have to wait for the NRWL on that one.
THE Casey Gains: But hey, atleast we’ll get a tag match next week, The O’Tooles vs Ruslan Panov and The Insomniac, Kenneth Cobb!
Edward Findleton: And now, a singles match as Frederic St. Pierre takes on Mayor Briggs!
St. Pierre’s music played, and he came down to the ring with the MuscleGang. Meanwhile, backstage Briggs was getting ready with Brunswick, United States, and El Espectro.
The United States: Ready Brunswick Bros?!
Douglas Brunswick: I hate that name. Don’t say that again.
Mayor Briggs: We enact the plan on the signal, ok?
El Espectro: Mayor Briggs….the money still hasn’t come through.
The United States: Wait, seriously?!
Briggs: Fellas, fellas! It’s comin’, relax. You believe me, right?
El Espectro: I do. But I’m not helping out until we see the money.
Mayor Briggs’ music could be heard starting, and he looked nervous.
Douglas Brunswick: But we’re the Brunswick Bros! Right?! Come on, help him out!
The United States: Yeah…sorry. Can’t tonight. But we’ll still be there next week because we care about you two! ….And HAW contractual obligations that overrule the additional money you’re giving us. Go get ‘em!
Brunswick and Briggs looked annoyed, yet walked out and down to the ring.
In a match going 9:39, Briggs tried to cheat at every possible opportunity, but the technical wrestling of Frederic St. Pierre shined through, with St. Pierre picking up the victory.
As the match ended, The MuscleGang celebrated with St. Pierre. Brunswick rolled in the ring to check on Briggs, while El Espectro and The United States rushed down to the ring as well. They tried to help Briggs up, but Brunswick began scolding them. Douglas suddenly stopped and looked down at the ground, then appeared to apologize to the two, giving them both quick hugs. The three helped Mayor Briggs up, and turned around to see the MuscleGang watching them.
Edward FIndleton: These four will be going at in an elimination match next week, and you can see the tension!
All eight men stared each other down, until Brunswick took a step forward. After a brief moment, Crash stepped forward as well, going face to face with Brunswick.
THE Casey Gains: The hatred between these two men is unmeasurable…
The staredown continued, until Brunswick threw a punch at Crash. With the first shot fired, a brawl broke out, as Briggs started fighting St. Pierre, The United States going after Lovable Liam, and Oden Schreiner and El Espectro trading blows. The MuscleGang appeared to be winning the fight, and Briggs, El Espectro, and The United States retreated out of the ring. Brunswick and Crash kept going at it, until Crash pushed Brunswick a few feet away, and jumped up to connect with the Dropkick. Brunswick fell to the ground, and the remainder of the Brunswick Bro’s grabbed him from beneath the ropes to take him outside the ring and up the ramp.
Edward Findleton: Casey, you mentioned the hatred Brunswick and Crash share, but as we saw earlier, what do you think of the rest of the Brunswick Bro’s loyalty?
THE Casey Gains: Briggs is fully in but…will The United States and El Espectro risk everything next week? Because the winner of this match will go to whoever goes that extra mile.
Edward Findleton: Well folks, stick around, because there’s some more action tonight and….umm….hey, what’s this?
As the MuscleGang had left the ring, a few audience members, men and women dressed in semi formal wear, climbed into the ring. They all held their hands as they formed a circle, eyes closed.
Pastor James: It’s ok! Let them be!
Pastor James made his way down to the ring with a microphone.
Pastor James: Security, you don’t need to worry. These are my special guests I’ve invited to join me in the ring tonight. Because tonight…we’re going to the first ever HAW….prayer circle!
Pastor James walked into the rink and linked up with the other audience members.
Pastor James: Prayer…prayer is important. It’s how we talk to the Lord..And I truly believe from the bottom of my heart, that when we all pray our hardest…he hears us. He answers us! We all have some prayer we want him to answer. Sir, what’s your name?
James looked at a man to his right.
Arthur: My name is Arthur.
Pastor James: Arthur…what are you praying for tonight?
Arthur: Pastor James, my wife is due to give birth next week. So I’m praying that our baby is going to be born healthy!
Pastor James: I’m joining you in that prayer my friend. That is so beautiful. Everyone in the audience, will you join me in this prayer?
Some of the crowd actually applauded as James closed his eyes and muttered a few words away from the microphone.
Pastor James: Amen! He will hear you, Arthur! Now…you ma’am, what’s your name, and what are you praying for?
Jolanda: Hi Pastor James, my name is Jolanda. Last month, my grandfather passed away. So I’m just praying for his soul.
Pastor James: My deepest condolences dear. I know he’s so proud of you right now. I’m going to pray for him right now, and so is every single person in this arena!
Edward Findleton: James is…sorta winning the crowd over?
As James finished his prayer, he gave Jolanda a hug.
Pastor James: Now…we’ve heard some great reasons for prayer. From…life to death, and everything in between, it’s been a special night to share with all of you. But there’s one prayer, perhaps more important than…health…or the souls of our loved ones. I would like all of you…not just the audience here, but everyone at home to join me in one final prayer, the most important prayer of the night……and that’s my successful defense of the HAW National Championship!
The crowd immediately started booing.
THE Casey Gains: You spoke too soon Edward.
James began to pray under his breath, his eyes closed. The crowd boo’s suddenly turned into cheers. James had his eyes closed, and began to smile, not realizing his prayer circle was fleeing the ring.
Pastor James: Thank you! He can hear you! With your prayers, I WILL remain HAW National Champion!
As James opened his eyes, El Termitas II, Jet Black, and “The Rookie” Kyle Higgins were all standing in the ring, surrounding him. James looked shocked and started to plead to them. Instead, El Termitas II ran towards Pastor James to try and hit a crossbody, but James ducked, causing Termitas to land on Jet Black. As Termitas quickly got off of Black, he looked to apologize. Black looked angry, and Higgins came over to try and keep some peace. Black wanted to hear none of it, and punched Kyle Higgins in the head. Seeing that, Termitas attacked Jet Black. The three challengers started fighting amongst each other as Pastor James rolled out of the ring and into the audience, fleeing. The fighting continued until security came down to break the three men up.
Edward Findleton: Well that union finally broke up!
THE Casey Gains: It had to happen at one point in time Edward, because guess what? Only ONE of those men can be the HAW National Champion! Better to get backstabbed this week than next!
Edward Findleton: I…think I agree? I mean, I’d rather never get backstabbed personally.
THE Casey Gains: It’ll happen one day Edward, believe me.
Edward Findleton: Wait..what are you implying?
THE Casey Gains: Looks like the ring has gotten cleared out, it’s about time for our main event match!
Sekino The Stunt Pilot made her way down, next followed by her teammates in a three on three tag match, The Exotic Delights, Lela LaCruse and Phueng Ahunai. Their opponents for the evening would be Kherti Bhakta and The Strange Crew, Jessie Parran and Smiling Sally.
An intense match took place lasting 12:24, with Kherti Bhakta pinning Lela LaCruse with a Straight Jacket German Suplex.
The Exotic Delights and Sekino made their way up the ramp as The Strange Crew and Kherti celebrated. Sekino then stopped and said some words to the Lela and Phueng, who seemed to shake their head no. Frustrated, The Stunt Pilot went back down to the ring, outnumbered three to one.
Edward Findleton: I’m not so sure this is a good idea for Sekino.
Angry, Sekino approached Kherti and got in her face. A staredown happened, but Sally and Jessie stood in front of Kherti. Sekino started to chuckle, and made a “chicken” motion back towards Kherti. Kherti had enough and broke through the Strange Crew, grabbing The Stunt Pilot and hitting a Straight Jacket German Suplex. Sekino looked down and out and Kherti stood over as the crowd cheered.
Edward Findleton: Two women’s championship matches next week, and no matter who comes out on top, I think these matches will deliver!
THE Casey Gains: Edward, next week, it’s going to be long time rivals, it’s going to be indestructible dolls, prayers from God, broken streaks, and tag matches for legends, but do you know what’s the most important match of all?
Edward Findleton: …The HAW World Championship?
THE Casey Gains: More so than that! The fate of the world! The Galaxy! The Solar System! The Universe! The beginning and end of time itself all comes to a head next week!
Edward Findleton: You mock it, but would you fight the Cyberhemoth?!
THE Casey Gains: ……Well, he’s awfully large….
Edward Findleton: That’s what I thought!
At that point, the lights went out, and Glenny Pax made his way down to the ring, accompanied by Cyberhemoth and a Visitor.
Glenny Pax: Next week….the fate of the universe and time itself will be decided!
THE Casey Gains: As I non-sarcastically said before!
Glenny Pax: It’s not too late. No, not at all. Those of you who wish to join me at this stage….I can still allow you to be…passable versions of yourselves. Some of your memories can stay. But the rest who resist…well….you’ll just have to await your fates, Bwahaha!
Mitchell Row’s music hit, and he stood at the top of the ramp with Kitty Kayleen.
Mitchell Row: Glenny, you talk a big game….but we’re going to stop you. You’ve hurt so many people….and last week…you hurt my servant, Scarred Badger! And he’s STILL recovering in a hospital! So I talked to Phoenix…and he agreed. Next week at End of the Trail, the World Championship will be a three way match! Glenny Pax, vs Phoenix, vs Mitchell Row!
Glenny Pax: Oh really? He agreed to that? Well, for the to come true….you need to make it to End of the Trail. Cyberhemoth….attack him!
Cyberhemoth walked over the ropes and jumped out of the ring, and began to give chase, as Mitchell Row and Kitty ran to the back.
Glenny Pax: Hahaha! Ah, I don’t believe he will be a problem. Afterall, I highly doubt Phoenix would approve of such a silly stipulation.
The Visitor next to Glenny Pax suddenly reached over and grabbed Glenny’s microphone.
Visitor: Actually……I did agree to that.
Glenny’s eyes went wide, as the Visitor took his mask off to reveal Phoenix. Phoenix began wailing away on Glenny, before slamming him to the ground, going to the top rope, and delivering a Phoenix Splash. Cyberhemoth had come running back out at that point, with a dozen other Visitors, as Phoenix retreated into the crowd, his hands raised in triumph.
Edward Findleton: A three way match! Mitchell Row! Phoenix! And Glenny Pax! Everything is on the line next week! We’re just about out of time, but we can’t wait to see you next week at End of the Trail! Goodnight everybody!
