Dark Matches: The Biofuel Engineers (Dalton Elkins and Sydney Mason) defeated Team Sentinel (Billy Taylor and Wesley Wagner), The Firing Squad (Phoenix and Fun Fight Machine) defeated The Jockey and the Thoroughbred (Diego Salazar and Enrique Mendoza)
The HAW theme began the show.
Edward Findleton: Welcome to HAW! We’re in Tacoma, Washington, just one week away from End of the Trail! Tonight, Lovable Liam takes on Strawberry Bates Hill, Hazel Glover face Daisy Fields, and the main event is Franco Mancini and Douglas Brunswick in a 15 minute time limit match!
Mitchell Row’s theme started up, and a disappointed Row walked out to the ring, with Kitty Kayleen on his arm.
Mitchell Row: Ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to take a moment to be real. Sometimes in life…we lose loved ones. They move on, and it’s a period of mourning. Some of you in the audience might have lost someone close to you…..but I don’t think a single person watching right now can understand the pain and heartbreak I felt from Georgios Stanellis last week!
Edward Findleton: Oh come on!
THE Casey Gains: Give him a break, he’s grieving!
Mitchell Row: The audacity of Georgios to say he loves my wife?! He was like a son to me! I trusted him, I wanted to see him grow up, and be just like me. And that’s never going to happen now. But now…like any good father, I have to teach my son a lesson.
Edward Findleton: Are they even 10 years apart in age?!
Mitchell Row: Georgios Stanellis…if you have any courage, you will learn your lesson in the ring, next week at End of the Trail. I’ll see you then.
Mitchell and Kitty departed for the back, as Casey stood up and clapped.
THE Casey Gains: The courage of this man to come out here and speak so rawly and emotionally is amazing. He really needs to teach that punk kid Stanellis a lesson about respecting your family!
Edward Findleton: He’s not a kid! I just looked up their ages, Row is 36 and Stanellis is 26! It just…argh, let’s just get to our first match!
Strawberry Bates Hill made his way down, accompanied by National Champion Harvey Allison. Lovable Liam followed, with Frederic St. Pierre.
Hill tried to cheat and use underhanded tactics throughout the match, but Liam was fully prepared. As Hill got more and more desperate, and losing more and more confidence, he sought advice from Allison. Allison seemed to point towards St. Pierre instead of Liam, and Hill darted across the ring away from Liam, towards St. Pierre. However, Liam intercepted Hill, and an irate St. Pierre rushed towards Allison. As Harvey Allison and Frederic St. Pierre brawled outside the ring, Liam hit the Tiger Driver and pinned Strawberry Bates Hill in 5:44.
Allison saw the match was over and poked St. Pierre in the eye, and ran to the back. Liam went out to help Frederic, and after making sure he was ok, St. Pierre congratulated Liam on his victory.
Edward Findleton: A nice win for Liam, I think he needed that! And next week, St. Pierre and Allison go toe to toe for the National Championship!
THE Casey Gains: They each got an equalizer outside the ring, but in terms of those equalizers, I’m going to have to give the edge to Liam. But guess what? What matters is the competitors in the ring, not the ones outside. We’ll have to see what happens.
Backstage, Jessie Parran was alone, talking on the phone.
Jessie Parran: I know Hawaii, I just don’t know what to do…No! I don’t want to kill her! It’s just…wait, I’m losing signal.
Jessie held her phone away from her face, trying to regain a connection, but instead the face of Moonlight appeared in a video chat.
Moonlight: Hello Jessie. Looks like you’re still worried about Sally?
Jessie Parran: Whatever you did to her…reverse it!
Moonlight: I’m sorry dear, but I have no desire to do that. You controlled her, you failed to keep an eye on her, and I found an…exploit. Now, I control her!
Jessie Parran: I didn’t control her! Sally was just different, just like the rest of The Strange Crew. We helped each other!
Moonlight: Keep telling yourself that, maybe some people will believe it. But I don’t. I mean, if you really wanted to help her…there’s one way.
Jessie Parran: I do want to help her, and I want her away from you!
Moonlight: …Then, if you cause enough…trauma to her, I can see things…breaking down if you will. Hurt her, to save her. Maybe…you can have a match at End of the Trail?
Jessie Parran: …….Fine. Fine! I’ll play your sick, twisted game. I’ll wrestle Sally next week and just maybe…maybe we can get things back to normal.
Moonlight: Maybe. Good luck, Jessie.
The screen went black on Jessie’s phone, as she let out a defeated sigh.
Back in the arena, Summer Fun’s music started up as Daisy Fields came out with Maple Blossom.
Edward Findleton: Another match has been set for End of the Trail, Jessie Parran vs Smiling Sally! And now our third match prior to this four way women’s tag match, we’ve got Daisy Fields facing off against Hazel Glover!
THE Casey Gains: Is it just me or do Daisy and Maple’s eyes look bloodshot?
Edward Findleton: It’s not just you!
Hazel and Daisy shook hands to start the match. Both wrestlers were competing valiantly, each getting near falls on their opponents. However at one point, an exhausted Daisy Fields went to Maple Blossom and “tagged” her in. Maple got into the ring and attacked Hazel, and referee Brenda Moses called for the bell. Maple immediately stopped the attack, and quickly checked if Hazel was alright. After confirming Hazel was fine, Maple and Daisy both apologized, then left the ring giggling.
Edward Findleton: ….So Hazel wins by…DQ? Because they thought it was a tag match?
THE Casey Gains: They’re only one week early, that’s not too bad honestly.
Edward Findleton: Well either way, The Stable went undefeated in their single matches! But the big question is, can they pull off the victory next week? We’ll find out then, but for now we’re going backstage to Gregory Greystone!
Gregory Greystone: Hello ladies and gentlemen! I’m Gregory Greystone and I’m being joined by Jonah Webb and Peter “Carnage” Horn! Gentlemen-
Webb shoved Gregory aside as he took the microphone.
Jonah Webb: James and Cole…you guys are mad at us. And I’m not really sure why. Arcane is just a big target we want to take down, and James is just selfish. Honestly, I think we did them a favor. Arcane prides himself on how tough he is, and after that beatdown, I think he’s been humbled. And James? Well, I think we’ve helped him out. For too long the man’s been too cowardly and selfish to admit he had a daughter. Now, he doesn’t have to worry anymore…because I doubt Dixie or even Ivy will want anything to do with him after how he acted. What do you think Peter?
Peter Horn: I won a lot of matches in HAW…but James, I never had a greater feeling in my career looking into your eyes, right before I knocked your kid out cold.
At that point, there was a commotion off to the side. Cole Arcane and Pastor James were trying to reach Horn and Webb, but a large number of security guards were successfully holding them back. As James and Arcane yelled at Webb and Horn, Webb chuckled and walked away calmly with Horn.
In the arena, the Samurais of Power made their entrance, accompanied by Kyle Higgins. The four stood in the ring, a bit nervous but prepared.
Sensei Onaga: Tonight…we put an official challenge for End of the Trail. The four of us against The Visitors…The Venator, Kenneth Cobb, Cyberhemoth and…Glenny Pax. We want you to accept this offer, so we are putting ourselves on the line. Glenny, if you win, you can do to the four of us…whatever it is you want.
At that point, Glenny Pax appeared on the jumbotron, flanked by his three Visitor companions.
Glenny Pax: Ah, Samurais… The way you think is most peculiar, this heroic, selfless behavior, it’s just so human. See, you must think logically. And the logical answer is, no. We do not accept. The metals in the Tag Team titles are so precious, we can’t risk giving them up.
Sensei Onaga: For this match, we don’t want the titles on the line…we want RJ Bu and Niko Green on the line. If we win, they go free.
Glenny Pax: So best case scenario…four new fighters, worst case, we lose two? Samurais…that is a logical thought. You have yourself a deal. We’ll see you next week. Enjoy your last days of humanity!
The jumbotron cut out, and the Samurais of Power all seemed to be ok with what went down, accepting whatever the future may hold.
Backstage, Penny “The Hammer” Downs was pacing back and forth, then stopped, and looked into the camera.
Penny Downs: I get it. Everyone is ticked at me. Sekino, Kherti…probably the fans, probably management. But you know what? There’s no one who’s more angry at Penny Downs…than myself. I’m not going to repeat myself, everyone is probably sick of me complaining about how I don’t feel like a true champion. But I realized I need to prove myself. So yeah, I interrupted the match last week, because I didn’t care who won. I realized the only way to silence the critics, including the biggest critic, myself…is to defend the title against both Sekino AND Kherti. So I’m making that official. And if management hates that and doesn’t want that match, then fine, I just won’t show up. Strip this meaningless title, erase me from the record books. But otherwise, End of the Trail is going to cement the legacy of who truly is the best women’s wrestler in the world.
With that, Penny walked off, and the scene shifted back to the arena.
Edward Findleton: Those are some big matches that have been announced! The Samurais of Power vs The Visitors, and Penny, Kherti, and Sekino in a three way title match!
THE Casey Gains: I’m sure Freezerman won’t have an issue approving either of those.
Edward Findleton: With that said, it’s time for our main event, which is a preview of next week’s main event at End of the Trail in this 15 minute exhibition match!
Brunswick and Mancini each made their entrances. Mancini offered a handshake before the match, and Brunswick reluctantly accepted. The match was completely even, with Brunswick in control for a minute, followed by Mancini for a minute, back and forth. Both tried for their finishes but failed, and neither could get longer than a one count on a pin fall.
As the clock neared the 14 minute mark, Franco Mancini stared at the timer, and seemed resigned to the fact he wouldn’t secure a victory in 15 minutes. He shrugged to himself and exited the ring before grabbing a chair. Franco got into the ring and was lining up a recovering Douglas for a chair shot.
Edward Findleton: Of course! His whole plan was to try and injure Brunswick the week before their match!
As Brunswick stood up, he saw Franco, and dropped out of the ring with around 30 seconds left on the clock.
THE Casey Gains: And Dennis Thompson is beginning to count! Can he get to 10 in 30 seconds?
Franco motioned for Brunswick to come back into the ring, but Brunswick waved him off, clearly not wanting anything to do with it. Brunswick walked to the top of the ramp and sarcastically clapped, as referee Dennis Thompson counted Brunswick out before the 15 minute mark.
Edward Findleton: And Franco Mancini wins…at 14:54!
THE Casey Gains: This was a good match tonight, both of these guys can wrestle but I think they both realized, next week is where it matters. The outcome of tonight won’t be remembered, it’s going to be the winner of End of the Trail that will go down in the history books.
Edward Findleton: It should be a great event next week! Thank you once again to everyone who tuned in, and we’ll see you next week at the season finale, HAW End of the Trail!
