The HAW Throwdown Theme opened the show, and Freezerman once again stood in the ring to start things off.

Freezerman: Last night, HAW Lockup was a huge success, and we’re going to continue on with HAW Throwdown tonight, straight from New York City! I only have a few announcements before we get this show started! First, the Men’s National Championship needs to be defended. I see the champion, Harvey Allison, and his friend Strawberry Bates Hill up there in press box…

The camera panned up, and the two seemed to be relaxing, sipping drinks.

Freezerman: At One Way Trip, Harvey Allison, you will defend the title against…the winner of a four man tournament, with our first two matches tonight! So Harvey, take some notes! As for the World Champion…well, let me just have him come out now. Ladies and gentlemen, Douglas Brunswick!

Brunswick’s music hit, and he came out with the title to a loud cheer. As he got to the ring, he shook hands with Freezerman and took a microphone.

Douglas Brunswick: Thank you. Thank you. I have to start off by simply saying…Franco Mancini, that was a hell of a match we put on last year, and you’re a great competitor. I won’t be surprised to see you standing across from me in the ring one day soon. But…I spoke to Freezerman over the off season, and I made a special request. I wanted to choose the first person I defended the World Championship against, and Freezerman graciously agreed. So at One Way Trip, I will be defending against a man I’ve never beaten one on one, and a man coming back from injury…Crash MuscleGate! Crash, come out here!

After a few moments, Crash walked to the ring, with Lovable Liam and Frederic St. Pierre.

Crash: …I really appreciate this, and I definitely am happy to accept this. You’ve grown a lot since we were last opponents, and you helped our team win the last time I was in a ring. But the last time I was in a ring, I got hurt, and I just recently got cleared to wrestle. So I’m putting in a friendly request…I dont want a championship match to be my first match back. So how about we have an exhibition tag match next week? You can choose whomever you want as a partner, and we’ll just go at it. What do you say?

Douglas Brunswick: Crash MuscleGate….I accept. All these matches are officially on!

Crash and Douglas shook hands, and with that, all men in the ring left.

Edward Findleton: Well what a way to start the show off! I’m Edward Findleton alongside THE Casey Gains! HAW is back, and we’re now on a show called Throwdown! We’re about to have our first match, but Casey…I think this match should have been made for Lockup!

THE Casey Gains: Why? This is the men’s show, it’s a men’s one vs one…

Edward Findleton: Because this match involves a debuting veteran wrestler…The Convict! I can’t think of a better placed for him to be than locked up!

THE Casey Gains: I have to deal with this for the rest of the year. Why did I agree to a contract extension…

On cue, The Convict made his entrance, ready for his debut. His opponent would turn out to be Sentinel, who was flanked by VCW’s Team Sentinel, Billy Taylor and Wesley Wagner.

Edward Findleton:  A lot of new HAW faces out here, and two long time veterans!

THE Casey Gains: Both of these guys have been wrestling for over 20 years, but Sentinel has only recently reached this higher level recently. The Convict though has had a fairly consistent run, it should be interesting to see what happens.

Sentinel had the crowd as well as Taylor and Wagner supporting him, but the Convict didn’t care, turning the momentum with an eye poke and eventually hitting a double arm DDT to pick up the win and pin Sentinel in 8:35.

Edward Findleton: The Convict wins in his debut match, and more importantly, advances to the next round of the tournament!

THE Casey Gains: And the second match will be our main event, and it should be an interesting one, Mayor Briggs facing off against Scarred Badger!

Edward Findleton: But next, we have some tag team action, and Gregory Greystone is backstage with one of the teams!

Backstage, Gregory was running, trying to get to the entrance area.

Gregory Greystone: Hello ladies and- excuse me, pardon me- gentlemen! I’m Gregory-Please move ma’am…Greystone and….up ahead are my interviewees! Hey Jet Black, Lenin May, wait up!

Gregory finally reached the two, just outside the stage to the arena.

Gregory Greystone: I…*gasp* have to ask the two of you…it’s a tag match tonight, what made the two of you decide to team up?

Lenin May forcefully took Gregory’s microphone, and Jet Black pushed him to the ground.

Lenin May: Why are we teaming up? Why not? Why shouldn’t we? We got to talking to each other in the offseason, and we saw the world treated us exactly the same. So it’s time to show the world…that everyone has made a mistake.

Gregory finally got back up, just for May to push him down again and toss the microphone, before his music started and Black and May entered.

Edward Findleton: Well it’s going to be an interesting tag match, this new team, The Demon Lord Lenin May, and Jet Black, will be going against Ozzie Reagan and Trickshot from the Samurais of Power!

The Samurais of Power, with Sensei Onaga, followed out, ready for the match. The Samurais of Power had history with Jet Black and seemed prepared for him, but with the addition of Lenin May added in, a chemistry was present with the new tag team that allowed them to overcome the Samurais of Power, as Lenin May pinned Trickshot after a Diving Knee Drop in 9:01.

May and Black were talking to each other, acknowledging their win, while Sensei Onaga was helping Trickshot and Ozzie Reagan, when Peter “Carnage” Horn and Jonah Webb made their way down to the ring. The two walked past Black and May, and started attacking Onaga. Onaga, Ozzie, and Trickshot tried to fight back but the sneak attack and injured wrestlers proved no match for Horn and Webb. With the Samurais of Power obliterated, Webb and Horn turned their attention to Black and May. Horn and Webb extended their hands for a shake, and Black and May accepted, as the four exited the ring.

Edward Findleton: …Did we just see an alliance form?

THE Casey Gains: It looks like it, and this group looks like it can be a formidable opponent. These guys are all known for being able to take, and dish out, a beating.

Edward Findleton: Well hold on folks, I’m getting word we need to go backstage as Freezerman has more to say!

Freezerman was in his office, when Cole Arcane Pastor James, Dixie Boyle and Ivy Clarke walked in.

Freezerman: Gentlemen, good to see you! I’ve got to say, after your match last year, a lot of fans have been coming up to me saying what’s next for Pastor James and Cole Arcane?

Cole Arcane: I’m personally thinking a World Championship match.

Freezerman: Well we’re going in a different direction. A championship match…but a Tag Team Championship match!

Pastor James: Now I do apologize, I know that Cole and I had a very successful win as a team last year…but we aren’t necessarily a team.

Freezerman: I get the apprehension, I do. But honestly, you two are really good in the ring. If there’s two people who can defeat a godless alien, and his super strong, tough, partner…I can’t think of a better team than Pastor James and Cole Arcane. So, like it or not, you two are teaming up at One Way Trip!

Arcane and James gave a nod to each other, acknowledging their alliance is continuing, and each left the room heading in opposite directions.

Edward Findleton: Well there we have it, Glenny Pax and Cyberhemoth will defend the tag titles against Pastor James and Cole Arcane at One Way Trip! The only title match we don’t know if the National, but we’re going to get a closer to finding that out next!

Mayor Briggs entered first for the main event, accompanied by his City Council, The United States and Bigg Pimpin’ Alex. Scarred Badger his opponent followed, looking ready for a fight.

As the match started, Briggs pointed up into the pressbox at Harvey Allison, mouthing some insults to him Allison could not hear.

Edward Findleton: As a reminder, Mayor Briggs was the former National Champion, and he actually lost to Handsome Harvey Allison. Looks like there’s still some bad blood between the two.

Briggs tried his usual tricks, while Badger fought with brute strength. As Briggs started to gain control, he focused more and more on taunting Harvey Allison. Harvey had enough and pointed to Briggs, then was heard telling Strawberry Bates Hill to settle things. At that point, Hill started trying to climb down from the press box, into the stands.

Edward Findleton: What is he doing?!

Briggs was completely distracted by this, as was his City Council and referee Dennis Thompson. Badger recovered and slid out of the ring, grabbing a sock full of quarters.

THE Casey Gains: Oh thank goodness, Hill finally made it down a level. Just take the stairs now!

Edward Findleton: Casey, look in the ring!

Scarred Badger blasted Mayor Briggs in the head with the sock. Badger got Dennis Thompson’s attention and covered, and picked up the victory in 6:44.

Edward Findleton: And Scarred Badger moves on! He defeats Mayor Briggs! And next week, Badger will take on The Convict!

THE Casey Gains: That’s going to be a true brawl next week.

Edward Findleton: A tag match, a tournament final…it’s great to be back, but we’re excited to see you again next week. Thank you, and good night!
