The HAW Theme opened the show, and Freezerman stood in the center of the ring as the crowd cheered.
Freezerman: Hello Boston and fans watching at home! Welcome back to HAW! And welcome to our first ever HAW Women’s Wrestling show! We are dubbing it HAW Lockup, and the men’s show tomorrow will be HAW Throwdown! Now to start the year, I normally give some very big announcements, but I myself am only going to give one. We wanted to hire a commissioner for this show, and we went through many applications before finally settling on one. She’ll be calling all the shots, and will take over the duties here! Please welcome…Delilah!
Delilah made her way down to the ring, dressed in a business suit. She shook hands with Freezerman and he exited.
Delilah: I know a lot of people don’t know me, but I’ve got a lot of experience for this job. I’ve wrestled in the ring in some promotions, I’ve helped manage promotions, and have studied business in college. I’m ready to lead Lockup, but enough about me, there’s some championship business to take care of, including a new title…the HAW Women’s National Championship! We are going to have an Eight Woman Tournament, culminating at HAW One Way Trip! Tonight, we’ll see Maisie Lane take on “No Nonsense” Bethany Watts, and Ashley Cannonball will face Monica Stone. Next week, Alicia McCarthy will go against “The Marauder” Sophie Lester, and McKayla Wren will battle Crystal Cyclone!
The camera panned over to the new title, then back to Delilah.
Delilah: And for the Women’s World Title…At last year’s End of the Trail, Lela LaCruse won the pre-show battle royale, giving her an advantage in this season of HAW. That advantage…is a title match against the champion, Penny “The Hammer” Downs! There’s a lot to look forward to, and I’m as excited as you are to see the first bit of action! Let’s get this show started!
Delilah left the ring and made her way to the back, as Bethany Watts music started up.
Eve Solace: Well ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to HAW! I’m Eve Solace, your lead commentator and…my broadcasting partner has yet to show up. I’ll still call all the action, as Bethany Watts makes her way to the ring, and introduces herself to our newest referee, Mira Levenberg. Before our next competitor follows, here’s how the tournament bracket will work!

Maisie Lane made her entrance next, high fiving fans at ring side before grabbing a microphone as she got into the ring.
Maisie Lane: Thank you! Thank you! It’s great to hear this! For too long, I was in that trash heap of a company, VCW, and now, I’ve made it to HAW! Which…really isn’t that much better, but look at all the people in here! If every person in the arena and watching at home can post about me on social media, I’ll be on a hit TV show or Hollywood film soon enough! Or if any casting directors want to get me out of this jam, just call me! Thaaaanks!
Maisie blew a kiss into the camera and posed. As she turned around, Bethany Watts immediately clotheslined her.
Eve Solace: Well the match is underway, and Watts showing why she’s earned that “No Nonsense” moniker. She just wants to wrestle.
Maisie Lane was never able to recover from that initial clothesline, despite trying to mount some comebacks. Bethany Watts eventually hit a Backbreaker and pinned Maisie Lane in 3:15, moving onto the next round.
Eve Solace: Viewers, I hope you enjoyed the first match of the National Championship tournament, and we’re going to hop into our next one right now with Ashley Cannonball and Monica Stone!
Instead of the music of Ashley or Monica playing, Georgios Stanellis’ music started up, and he walked down the ramp, accompanied by Kitty Kayleen. It looked like they were about to enter the ring, but instead continued walking, until they got to the announce table. They sat down, and put on headsets.
Eve Solace: It looks like my broadcasting partner did show up, welcome Kitty Kayleen. You missed the first match.
Kitty Kayleen: Oh? I’m sure it was a marvelous match, I apologize.
Eve Solace: And…you brought Georgios Stanellis. I do have to say, I don’t recall you being part of the announcing team during the production meetings I was at.
Georgios Stanellis: I would never leave Kitty out here alone. Where she goes, I go.
Eve Solace: Very well, welcome aboard Georgios!
Monica Stone’s music started to signal her entrance.
Eve Solace: I was talking to Monica earlier today, and she seemed to be very confident in tonight’s match, saying she’s prepared like never before. What are your thoughts on Monica?
Georgios Stanellis: I think she is no where near as beautiful as my Kitty.
Eve Solace: …Ok, I’m going to look past that one.
Ashley Cannonball followed, energetic and trying to pump up the crowd. As the match started, both competitors were evenly matched, trading offenses back and forth. Ashley started to gain momentum, hitting a flying crossbody on Monica. She wanted Stone on her feet, and picked her up by her head and hair. At that point, Monica Stone started screaming. She pushed Ashley Cannonball away and made her way over to referee Brenda Moses. A discussion seemed to take place, with Monica pleading a case, and Ashley looking confused. Brenda left the ring and spoke to the timekeeper who rang the bell, before going over to Eve and delivering an explanation. Eve grabbed a microphone.
Eve Solace: So referee Brenda Moses is telling me…Monica Stone petitioned for a disqualification of Ashley Cannonball on grounds of hairpulling. The match is over, and Monica Stone is being declared the victor!
Kitty Kayleen: Hmm, I actually like that. Bravo to her!
A frustrated Ashley Cannonball left the ring, while Monica Stone celebrated as if she won a grueling gauntlet.
Backstage, The Dystopians, Dark Raven and Void-N, looked into the camera.
Dark Raven: We made our debut at End of the Trail. We made our intentions known. We want The Stable, and we want the HAW Tag Team Titles.
Void-N: We’re ready. Is The Stable ready? Are the fans ready? Because everyone needs to be ready for this new age of dominance in the tag division. The past is a fleeting thought, the future is here, and it’s us running rampant over every single team.
Dark Raven: HAW, get ready for the world you knew, to come crumbling down.
The Dystopians stared into the camera a few moments before walking off.
Back in the arena, Penny “The Hammer” Downs music began, and out came the HAW Women’s World Champion. She went to the ring, microphone in hand.
Penny Downs: I know I’ve held this title for a while…but tonight is the first night I feel like I walked down here as a champion. THIS is the moment I’ve always dreamed of. I don’t want to spend too much time on me though. I’m sure everyone is sick of it after the pity parties I threw in 2024. So no more last year, let’s talk about this year, and my opponent, Lela LaCruse! I’ve seen her wrestle, and she’s talented. But I know how she acts, so I’m going to keep this short. Any moment she’s going to come down and interrupt, or maybe even sneak attack me. Either way, I’m ready. Bring it Lela!
Penny looked around the arena, trying to spot if anyone was sneaking to the ring. After a few moments, Lela’s new music started, and she walked down to the ring smiling and clapping before coming to the ring, and offering a hand shake to Penny. Penny reluctantly accepted.
Lela LaCruse: Penny, I’m sorry you think I’d interrupt you, or attack you. This is YOUR moment. Your night! You wanted to keep it short, I want to keep this shorter, for you! I can’t wait to wrestle you at One Way Trip, may the best woman win that night. But tonight is for you! Give it up for the HAW Women’s World Champion, Penny “The Hammer” Downs!
Lela then started to lead the crowd with a “You deserve it” chant for Penny, confusing the champ. Lela held Penny’s hand up before leaving the ring, leaving it for Penny. A bewildered Penny kept an eye on Lela, but ultimately raised the championship in her arms for the crowd.
Eve Solace: Thank you for all joining us tonight! We’ll be back next week to continue our tournament for the National Championship, and we’ll all arrive to the announcer’s table on time! Good night!
