HAW Lockup began backstage.
Smiling Sally was strapped to a chair being forced to watch an old TV. It was wrestling indie wrestling matches, with a younger Smiling Sally in it. Her old indie screamo theme played, making her entrance as Sally Larkin, and highlights of her in various matches. The more she grew in her career, the more violent she got, doing hardcore matches and deathmatches, often bloodied but ultimately pinning her opponents. As she watched, the collar on her neck started to alternate, flashing from green to red, back and forth, faster and faster.
As Smiling Sally was struggling against the straps, Moonlight came running in.
Moonlight: Hey! There you are! Stop!
Moonlight slapped Sally across the face, and the collar blinked faster. Moonlight then quickly turned the TV off, then grabbed her own phone and entered commands. The collar quickly went back to its green state, and Moonlight undid the bonds. Obediently, Smiling Sally stood up.
Moonlight: Come on! I need you tonight. You’re to forget about all this nonsense you just saw, ok?
With that, Moonlight walked off, and an emotionless Smiling Sally followed.
Back in the arena, the Dystopians, Dark Raven and Void-N, started walking down to the ring.
Eve Solace: Welcome to HAW Lockup. We’re in Sacramento, California and…we had our about Smiling Sally but it looks like she’s ok!
Athena: No one saw Sally since The Strange Crew took her, so it’s good she’s safe. That being said, The Dystopians are out here now with mics and they look oddly happy. It’s a bit unsettling.
Void-N: Last week, we got…thrown into a vat of ice cold beer.
Dark Raven: It was humiliating. Dehumanizing. Soul crushing. Yet as bad as that felt, it was made worse by the laughter. The fans, and more importantly, the Revellers. They took pride in their actions.
Void-N: What none of you realize is, any attack against us will be met with a much greater response. Revellers, you made your mistake last week. We’re fixing it. As Tag Team champions, we have connections and powers you two can’t even comprehend. Turn your attention to this video.
On the jumbotron, a nightvision video of The Revellers entering the backseat of a car, presumably a rideshare.
Roo: Could you take us to the hotel on Pine Avenue? Thanks.
Teri: You need more room? How’s your shoulder?
Roo: It still hurts…I can’t believe I hurt it at the gym. Doc says it’ll take a few months to heal but…I can wrestle at End of the Trail still.
At that point, Teri kissed Roo’s shoulder.
Teri: Does that help?
Roo: It might have sped up the recovery by a month. Thanks babe.
The screen then went black, and Delilah stepped out onto the stage.
Delilah: We’re stopping this now. I’m not sure how you got that footage, not sure if we’re legally allowed to show that, or what else will be said, but that’s enough! Now leave the ring, we’re done for the night.
Dark Raven: It’s ok. Anyone interested in seeing the rest can check our social media.
Void-N: And we’ll gladly leave the ring. I’m sure everyone here tonight would love for The Revellers to run out and attack us. But they’re not here. They’re at a follow up appointment for that AC Joint Sprain. How supportive for Teri to be there for her partner.
Delilah: Enough!
The Dystopians smiled and exited the ring as the crowd booed. Delilah waited until they had passed her, and escorted the tag champions to the back.
Eve Solace: Well we should probably shift gears really quickly from all of those privacy breaches, we have a main event worthy match next. It’s Alicia McCarthy vs Sekino The Stunt Pilot, to see who will face Elena Dubois for the National Championship!
Alicia made her entrance, and Sekino followed. The once short-lived tag team showed clear disdain for each other in their pre-match glares and trashtalking.
The match was long, and was very stiff. From chops that left welts to using every aspect of the ring as a weapon, both women were rising to the occasion and giving everything they had.
As the match went on, Sekino had a near fall but Alicia put her foot on the rope at the last moment. Sekino was visibly upset, and started to argue with referee Mira Levenberg. Levenberg reiterated the foot on the rope, and a frustrated Sekino picked up Mira and slammed her to the ground.
Levenberg was out, and McCarthy and Sekino went back to wrestling. Sekino got the upper hand, and eventually managed to lay out Alicia and hit the Moonstomp to Alicia. Levenberg was still down, so Sekino motioned for a ref to come, and referee Heidi O’Neill ran down. Sekino went for the cover, and Heidi counted 1, then 2, and then, the bell rang.
Sekino looked confused, and Mira Levenberg had recovered enough to call for the bell.
Eve Solace: That’s a disqualification! Sekino was disqualified for her attack on the ref!
Athena: Making Alicia the number one contender!
Enraged, Sekino went to Mira and started stomping on her. Heidi O’Neill tried to stop her, but Sekino threw O’Neill into the turnbuckle, then started kicking her.
At that point, The Executioness ran down, and Elena Dubois slid into the ring. McCarthy had started to recover too, and the two exchanged a quick glance of acknowledging working together. McCarthy ran towards Sekino and grabbed her off of Heidi, then whipped Sekino, right into a Running European Uppercut from Elena Dubois.
Sekino was down, and the new number one contender looked at the champ, who offered her hand out. McCarthy accepted, and the two hugged in the ring…until Alicia gripped Elena’s arms, and quickly hit a Double Underhook Powerbomb. McCarthy pointed to herself, yelling down at The Executioness that she’s going to be the new champion.
As the ring finally got clear, Jessie Parran and The Strange Crew of Drizzles and Hawaii came down to the ring, with Jessie looking like she had something to say.
Jessie Parran: I won the opportunity to face Moonlight at End of the Trail last week. An opportunity to be the HAW World Champion. But I’ve seen what’s happened to an old friend of mine…and I want to give her that opportunity. No, no, not give. I want to let her earn that opportunity. I’m giving an impromptu challenge, right now, Jessie Parran vs Smiling Sally, winner taking on Moonlight!
After a brief delay, Moonlight and Smiling Sally appeared on the stage, Moonlight with a huge grin.
Moonlight: She accepts. 100% she accepts. No taking it back, it’s official. Jessie, thank you. You just made my night!
Moonlight walked down with Smiling Sally, and referee Brenda Moses rushed to the ring as well.
Eve Solace: And it looks like we have…Moonlight joining us on commentary?
Moonlight: Thank you Eve, Athena. I’m just so happy. I’m either getting the easiest title defense ever, or if some insane miracle happens and Jessie wins, I get the most beat up challenger in existence! Life is good!
As the bell rang, Jessie looked outside at Drizzles, then extended her arm through the ropes, hand opened.
A cheerful Drizzles the Clown reached under the ring, and pulled out a long machete, that seemed to have dried blood on it and handed it to Jessie. Jessie gripped it, looked at the machete, then screamed “No!” and dropped it. A frustrated Drizzles reached back under the ring and reluctantly handed her a baseball bat.
Jessie gripped the bat, and immediately swung it at Smiling Sally, connecting, and causing an instant Disqualification. Moonlight began to laugh as Sally fell to the mat.
Moonlight: It’s official! Me vs Sally! Hahaha! Oh my god these three really are complete idiots!
Jessie stopped on the attack, and called for Hawaii and Drizzles to come into the ring. Drizzles and Hawaii rushed in, and each pinned down Sally’s arms and legs. Jessie Parran then reached into her boots, and pulled out a pair of bolt cutters. At that point, Moonlight’s eyes went wide in shock.
Moonlight: Don’t…don’t you dare do that! Stop!
Jessie brought the bolt cutters right up Sally’s collar, and quickly clipped it. The light quickly blinked green, then a solid red for a few seconds, before turning off completely.
At that point, Sally seemed to gasp for air, and Drizzles and Hawaii let go of her.
Sally was now looking around the ring and arena, completely confused. Jessie knelt down, trying to talk to her and comfort her, but Sally pushed Jessie’s hands away. Tears began to fall down Sally’s face, and she rushed out of the ring and ran to the back, horrified, afraid, and crying.
In the ring The Strange Crew appeared confused and upset, while Moonlight started to laugh again.
Moonlight: Haha! There it is! My challenger is a scared little girl! Ahh…like I said, what a bunch of idiots. Here, let me in this show. From Sacremento, this was HAW Lockup. I’m Moonlight, goodnight!
