HAW Throwdown’s theme played to start the show.
Edward Findleton: Happy Halloween! Thank you for joining us on Throwdown! We’re in Phoenix, Arizona, and just a month away from End of the Trail! We’ve got some fun tag team action, with Cole Arcane and Georgios Stanellis facing a mystery team!
THE Casey Gains: And two teams we know it WON’T be are The Biofuel Engineers and The O’Toole Brothers, who meet in action now!
Each team made their entrance, dressed in Halloween costumes. The O’Toole Brothers wore blue outfits to make them resemble The Shining twins. The Biofuel Engineers dressed as a hot cop and hot firefighter, while The Convict ditched his orange attire and wore black and white striped prison suit. The match itself was a standard back and forth tag match, and though the O’Tooles kept trying to hit a Superkick, it would eventually be Sydney and Dalton hitting the Double Flapjack, with Sydney pinning Fergus.
As the two teams cleared, the MuscleGang’s music started up, and out came Crash MuscleGate, Frederic St. Pierre, Lovable Liam, and Scarred Badger, down to the ring with microphones and a purpose.
Crash MuscleGate: Last week at Summit of Success, these two gentlemen right here had a chance to win the tag titles. And that got ruined by…The Shadow Hand.
Lovable Liam: Scary name!
Crash MuscleGate: Everything about their name is scary! “Carnage” is scary. Demon Lords are scary. Webs are scary. And err…uh oh…
Frederic St. Pierre: Jets are scary.
Crash MuscleGate: Yes! And even though they’re all scary, we aren’t scared of them! Which is why if Jonah Webb isn’t scared of me…he’ll face me in the ring, one on one, right now. Gentlemen, you can go. I got this handled.
St. Pierre, Liam, and Badger all left the ring and headed to the back. Moments later, Jonah Webb’s music started up, and he came out solo, grinning but seemingly ready for the match.
As it started, Webb held his own against the veteran in Crash, but Crash was starting to get the advantage. He motioned for help from the back, but nothing happened. The jumbotron then showed backstage, and Scarred Badger was hitting Lenin May with his sock of quarters. Horn and Jet Black showed up to help, as Liam and St. Pierre appeared from a corner as well. It looked like a 3 vs 2, but Horn grabbed a nearby steel pipe, as did Jet Black.
The MuscleGang took off running, and knocking over an open container of room temperature cooking oil along the way, causing Horn and Black to slip and fall, struggling to get up.
In the ring, Webb looked at the jumbotron absolutely livid, and turned around right into a Dropkick from Crash. Crash covered and picked up the three count.
Edward Findleton: And Crash picks up the win, as he said he would!
THE Casey Gains: So Crash beats Webb, getting revenge on the Shadow Hand, who got revenge on the MuscleGang causing their loss, due to the fact the MuscleGang previously beat them?
Edward Findleton: The cycle of violence just never goes away Casey. It’s quite sad. But you know what isn’t sad? Our tag team match, next!
Georgios Stanellis made his entrance first with Kitty Kayleen, holding hands and kissing along the way, while his partner, Cole Arcane, followed, a scowl seemingly constantly on his face. Arcane and Stanellis seemed to care little for each other, not talking at all, but looking up the ramp.
Surprisingly, Harvey Allison’s music started up, and he walked to the top of the ramp with a microphone.
Edward Findleton: They’re facing Harvey Allison?! Who will be his partner?!
Harvey Allison: Thank you! Thank you! Wow! What a great crowd! It sure is great to be in this insert city here! Haha, ahh, that works every time. Look, Cole Arcane, Georgios Stanellis. You’re probably shocked to see me. And I’ll be honest, I just didn’t want to wait any longer. I can’t think of a better person to be HAW World Champion…than the HAW National Champion, Handsome Harvey Allison! Freezerman, please, make your official announcement and name me as a participant in the match!
A few moments went by, and Freezerman appeared on the jumbotron from his office.
Freezerman: Well Harvey, you’ve had a great year. You make a strong case…but, I have something different in mind for you. We all know you were supposed to defend the National championship against Franco Mancini…but over the course of the week, I thought about it, and decided…let’s make it a triple threat, and add Mayor Briggs to the mix!
Allison was furious and threw his mic, now screaming up at the jumbotron image of Freezerman in rage.
Freezerman: But I like your idea of announcing the next competitor for Destroy All Wrestler! I even like the idea of it being a champion…or champions! Cole Arcane, Georgios Stanellis, the next two wrestlers you’ll meet at End of the Trail are your opponents tonight. The tag team champions, The Firing Squad, Phoenix and Fun Fight Machine!
Edward Findleton: Wow! Two former World Champions are now in this match!
THE Casey Gains: You add in Mitchell Row and Georgios Stanellis, this is a lot of star power!
Phoenix and Fun Fight Machine rushed down to the ring, and immediately started brawling. Eventually some semblance of a tag team match got underway, and things were looking good for Arcane and Stanellis when Arcane hit a Running Bulldog on Phoenix. As he went for the cover, Fun ran in to break up the count, but Stanellis grabbed him and hit a powerslam, right on referee Dennis Thompson before he could count three.
Arcane got up and shoved Georgios, furious he just ruined the ending to the match. Stanellis pushed him back, and the two started brawling. At that point, Mitchell Row started running down the ramp, eyes set on Georgios. As Row slid into the ring, Stanellis saw him and threw Arcane towards Row, just as he jumped with a Spear. Stanellis and Kitty once again hightailed out of there, with Row in pursuit. In the ring, Phoenix crawled and hooked Arcane’s leg, and a woozy Thompson slowly counted three, giving the victory to the Firing Squad.
From a suite above the arena, Douglas Brunswick sat back holding the title over his shoulder and contemplating, having watched the chaos unfold, and getting an idea of how some of his opponents may wrestle come End of the Trail.
