HAW Lockup kicked off with the theme song of The Executioness Elena Dubois playing, as the National Champion walked to the ring.
Eve Solace: Welcome to HAW Lockup! We’re in Grand Forks, North Dakota tonight! There’s going to be some great wrestling tonight, as Sekino the Stunt Pilot takes on Teri of the Revellers, and The Marauder, Sophie Lester and Sabrina Nova will go one on one with The Solo Girls, Crystal Cyclone and Rachel, and what we think is our main event if the challenge was accepted, Smiling Sally vs Kherti Bhakta! But it looks like our National Champion has something to say!
Elena Dubois: Last spring…I came to HAW, and won this National championship. I ain’t going to lie, hearing my name announced as the winner was one of the most surreal experiences of my life. It felt great to be in the ring and hold a title up for the world to see. Then I walked to the back, saw I had some alerts, congratulations from friends and families, and the breaking news on social media of my victory. I checked those articles, ready to see more congratulations and the first comment I saw read….”Who?” More comments: An upset, an unknown, a fluke, she’s not going to last, who even hired her. That pissed me off so much I flung this title against the wall. That little chip in the metal? That’s from my anger. And I blamed ALL of you!
At that point, the crowd started to boo, and Dubois took a deep breath.
Elena Dubois: ….Until I realized it’s not your fault. It’s mine. I hadn’t done enough to make myself a name. To prove I was a good wrestler. To prove I was a real champion, and not someone who got lucky for three seconds. So I’m hungry, ready to prove myself. And I want someone just like me, someone ready to prove themselves, and that’s why I want Zoey Chambers to come out here right now!
There was a brief pause, but the Stable’s music hit, and Zoey came to the ring with Jenna Ingram and Hazel Glover following behind her.
Elena Dubois: Zoey….do you want this National Championship?
Zoey Chambers: Of course!
Elena Dubois: Are you sure? Do you have what it takes to win it?
Zoey Chambers: Yes!
Elena Dubois: …..You have good in ring skills, no doubt about it. But I don’t know if you have the right attitude, the killer instinct. So if you want to prove you can defeat me for this….show me something next week that says you deserve a match for gold.
With that, The Executioness forced her way past Zoey, using her weight to shove her away, then pushed through Jenna and Hazel, very purposely making contact with their arms and shoulders before leaving.
Athena: I’m not so sure Zoey is in the clear as the official challenger yet, but if it involves coming up with a unique way to prove herself, I feel she can do it, as long as she doesn’t take this way too far into the dangerous category.
Eve Solace: But maybe that’s what The Executioness is looking for! She opened up tonight and spoke of raw feelings, I can see her wanting to take a huge risk.
Athena: I really want to agree with you, but I’m a bit hesitant as someone who’s seen first hand what bravery can do…it can end a career.
Eve Solace: Well not to rub salt in the wound of your last match…but up next, Sekino The Stunt Pilot and Teri go head to head!
At that moment, Sekino’s music played, and The Stunt Pilot came down to the ring with Alicia McCarthy. Her opponent, Teri followed who had her partner Roo with her. And once again, The Dystopians, Void-N and Dark Raven, came out at the top of the ramp to watch.
Eve Solace: Last week Alicia defeated Roo, can Sekino do the same?
Unlike last weeks match, Sekino came out of the gate fast and quickly overcame Teri. Teri wasn’t able to get her footing, and the former Women’s Champion showed her experience as she quickly defeated Teri with a Moonstomp.
Alicia McCarthy joined The Stunt Pilot in the ring, and raised her hand, pointing at the Dystopians, who had now acquired mics.
Dark Raven: Let’s be clear here. You two just won some matches. Some singles matches, NOT tag matches. So we really don’t think you’re capable of being a challenge to us.
Void-N: So next week, we want you four to do a tag match…and the winner…will get us!
McCarthy and Sekino looked annoyed at first, but then Sekino seemed to grin and nod, and shared some words with Alicia. The two women left the ring, already strategizing for next week the whole way to the back.
The next match scheduled was the tag match, with the Solo Girls making their way out first, though Maisie Lane was accompanying them. Following them was “The Marauder” Sophie Lester, and Sabrina Nova.
As the match began, each team was showing even offense, which was frustrating Maisie Lane. She started to try and interfere, looking for areas to grab the ropes or trip up one of Sophie or Lester. Sophie Lester had begun to complain to referee Heidi O’Neill, and with the ref distracted, Maisie saw her opportunity. She lifted the ring apron briefly, but suddenly some sort of vaporous cloud came out, and she backed away, holding her face.
Athena: Is there someone under the ring with poison mist?!
Maisie seemed stunned, then simply lowered her hands from her face, and seemed unharmed, other than slightly coughing, and then looking absolutely confused. She looked under the apron again, and some smoke came out, followed by a fist to her face, knocking her down. Summer Fun proceeded to roll out from under the ring, and Maple Blossom attacked Rachel while Daisy Fields went after Crystal Cyclone. The two then setup Crystal and hit a Bear Hug/Flying Crossbody Combination. Sophie saw what happened, and went back to the ropes, leaving Sabrina Nova the chance to cover Crystal, and got the three count.
Eve Solace: Well it wasn’t poison “mist” but…well whatever that was, it worked!
Athena: Not sure why Summer Fun got involved either but…well, we weren’t sure why Maisie got involved! But this is really escalating!
Eve Solace: Well it’s been an unpredictable show tonight, but coming up next, our main event!
Smiling Sally entered first, accompanied by Moonlight, wearing a black hoodie and holding the HAW Women’s World Championship. Kherti Bhakta’s music then started up, and Sally faced the entrance way, but there was no sign of Kherti coming out. After a few moments, Kherti Bhakta appeared on the jumbotron.
Kherti Bhakta: Hey Moonlight. I thought about your challenge last week. I mulled it over in my head, thought back and forth. I know you’re expecting this match but…I had to weigh the pro’s and con’s of this…
As Kherti talked on the jumbotron, coming from the crowd was Kherti Bhakta in person. Moonlight and Sally were looking up at the jumbotron, and didn’t see her come from the back, and take Moonlight’s laptop.
Jumbotron Kherti Bhakta: What does it mean to be a champion? It means courage, it means pride, it means determination! It’s a goal to be the best, to represent wrestling! And Moonlight, you throw all that out the window! So I’m not taking the high road, I’m going to your level Moonlight. Which means…at this point I’ve probably bought enough time with this video.
Moonlight looked confused, and Kherti hit her in the back with the laptop. She proceeded to repeatedly smash the laptop across Moonlight’s back, and with each hit, the green light on Smiling Sally’s collar began to flicker.
Kherti tossed the laptop to the ground, then grabbed Moonlight, and hit a Gourdbuster right onto the laptop, destroying it completely. The light on Sally’s collar then turned red, and she stared at Kherti and Moonlight. Kherti quickly exited the ring, and Sally walked over to Moonlight. She grabbed her by the throat, and began to lift her off the ground. A dazed and hurt Moonlight struggled, then reached into her hoodie pocket. She took out her cell phone and put it up next to Sally’s collar, and the light switched from red to green. Sally released the hold, and Moonlight dropped to the mat, still in pain from the attack and gasping for breath.
Outside the ring, Kherti smiled, proud of her work, as Moonlight looked enraged through her gasps of pain, the show going off the air with the staredown.
