HAW Throwdown began, with Harvey Allison in the ring, seemingly already talking.
Harvey Allison: ….which is probably the single best use of your money! I’m looking into this audience and seeing a crowd that’s excited! Because they get to hear me speak! They get to see me in the flesh! They can experience Harvey Allison!
Edward Findleton: Folks, welcome to HAW Throwdown in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Harvey Allison came out here about 15 minutes ago and has just been…going on about how great he is.
Harvey Allison: And now I see the camera! We’re live! It’s not just this dump of a town that’s lucky, it’s every viewer in the world!
Harvey was now cut off by the Samurai’s of Power music, with Sensei Onaga walking to the ramp with Trickshot and Ozzie Reagan. He motioned for them to stay behind. The two went backstage, and Onaga walked solo.
Sensei Onaga: You have talked too long. The fine citizens of this town are done listening to you. They came here to see wrestling! We have a match at Summit of Success…but why not move it to tonight?
Harvey Allison: A National Title match…in Wyoming? Trust me, they don’t deserve this.
Sensei Onaga: As I thought…you are nothing but a coward.
Harvey Allison: …Did you just call me a coward? Did you DARE call the HAW National Champion…a coward?! Say it again, I dare you.
Sensei Onaga: You are a coward!
Allison looked flustered, pacing around the ring and running his hands through his hair.
Harvey Allison: I am NOT a coward! A coward is someone who said he’s afraid to touch this title again because of superstitions! You’re the coward! And besides, would a coward do this?!
Allison then blasted Onaga with the title, dropping him.
Harvey Allison: That’s what I thought! You just touched the title! So that makes you a liar!
Allison started to stomp Onaga, but at that point Trickshot and Ozzie started running down for the save. Harvey Allison cowardly jumped out of the ring and ran to the crowd. Trickshot tried to grab him but Allison pulled a security guard in front of him with one hand and a child with the other. Trickshot relented from his chase, allowing Allison to distance himself, while Ozzie helped Onaga in the ring.
THE Casey Gains: Well…that’s one way to start the show.
Edward Findleton: You’re telling me! We didn’t even get to announce anything! Because tonight our tag team tournament continues, with The Shadowhands facing Bu and Green, but up next, Jack Trailor and Local Legend Danny Miller will go against The Biofuel Engineers!
Trailer and Miller made their way down, with the Local Legend trying to blend in wearing a cowboy hat tonight. The Biofuel Engineers, Sydney Mason and Dalton Elkins followed, who didn’t seem amused by Miller’s outfit.
It was a tense tag team match, with the Biofuel Engineers seemingly always having the upper hand. Miller almost had a big break, when Dalton went to kick Miller, but Miller put up the cowboy hat in self dense, causing Elkins’ foot to go through the top of the hat, and tripping him up. Miller tried to capitalize but Sydney Mason ran in to stop the momentum, and the two eventually hit a Double Flapjack on Miller, getting the victory.
Edward Findleton: A hard fought match, but The Biofuel Engineers pick up the win and move on, where they’ll be facing Team Sentinel!
THE Casey Gains: Really tough break there for Miller. That hat looked good on him.
Edward Findleton: Well let’s now go check in backstage with Sensei Onaga who is recovering from his earlier attack.
Backstage, medical staff had ice on Onaga’s forehead. He looked in pain but was recovering as his fellow Samurais tried to cheer him up. They all stopped when stepping into view was Franco Mancini.
Franco Mancini: Hey. Not here to cause any trouble. Looks like you already found it. But just wanted to say…good luck. I’m cheering for you, but uhh…obviously if you win, I’m planning to stop your fairy tale at End of the Trail.
Franco patted Onaga on the shoulder and continued walking. Franco said hello to a few people, then saw Mayor Briggs walking towards him.
Franco Mancini: Yo, I know how it feels to lose to Brunswick. It sucks. But suck it up.
Franco continued walking, but Briggs had stopped in his tracks, looking angry. He turned around and jumped Franco Mancini. After a few vicious attacks and throwing him into the wall, Briggs got in his face.
Mayor Briggs: Mate…ya walk around believing you own this place…I hope one day…ya really gotta struggle like I do. Put some work in!
Briggs gave another knee to Mancini, then walked off frustrated.
Back at ringside, the Shadow Hands, Demon Lord Lenin May and Jet Black, accompanied by Jonah Webb and Peter “Carnage” Horn started to come down to the ring. Their opponents were RJ Bu and Niko Green.
Edward Findleton: Bu and Green are former champions but have had a tough run recently, they’re looking to get back on track!
THE Casey Gains: And May and Black are a new team, but Jet Black a former Tag Team champion, and National as well. He’s looking to lead this team into establishing themselves as a force.
The chemistry of Bu and Green was on display, and the two had a great strategy of isolating the opponents and making quick tags. They looked to be controlling the whole flow, until Jonah Webb tripped up Bu’s feet as he was running the ropes. The stumble cost Bu, allowing Black to tag in May, who quickly overcame Bu. Lenin May got Bu down and hit a Diving Knee Drop, and pinned RJ Bu.
Edward Findleton: The Shadowhand moves on!
THE Casey Gains: That’s gonna be a good one next week as they take on Frederic St. Pierre and Lovable Liam in the MuscleGang!
Edward Findleton: Whoever wins is going to be giving The Firing Squad a tough run for their title! And as we await to find out who will be taking them on…we are about to find out the next wrestler in Destroy All Wrestlers!
Douglas Brunswick made his way down to the ring to applause. He took a microphone and smiled as he got in the ring.
Douglas Brunswick: It’s such an honor to be here, to know that I’ve qualified for Destroy All Wrestlers, to know I’m walking in the champion…and I have one more match to reach my goal! To defend the title the full year! But now, I want to meet my next opponent. Freezerman told me he is a great wrestler, and a worthy challenger. So entrant number two…come on down.
Brunswick waited, and a few moments of silence went by until Cole Arcane’s music came on. Arcane walked down to the ring with a purpose.
Edward Findleton: Well this is certainly an interesting choice! Cole Arcane, who’s-
THE Casey Gains: Edward shut up, Arcane isn’t waiting another month!
Arcane had his fist clinched as he walked and rolled into the ring, Brunswick throwing the title down. Both men knew a fight was breaking out and just started clobbering each other. The fight eventually spilled out of the ring, and Arcane started to get some solid shots in. A big blow to the midsection stunned Brunswick, and he was bent over trying to get his breath near the announce table.
Arcane jumped up onto the ring apron, then ran and jumped, giving a Running Bulldog to Brunswick right into the announce table, collapsing it. Both men were hurt, but Brunswick definitely got the worst of it. Arcane got to his feet, then rolled back into the ring where the HAW World Championship had fallen. Arcane picked the title up and held it up high as the show ended.
