The HAW Throwdown theme started the show.
Edward Findleton: Welcome to HAW Throwdown in Oklahoma City! Our Tag Team tournament concludes tonight! We’ll have Team Sentinel take on the Biofuel Engineers, then, The MuscleGang will go against The Shadow Hand! The winners of each match will wrestle again in our main event, with the winner taking on the Firing Squad next week!
THE Casey Gains: A lot to get through tonight, but we’re actually starting the show with an announcement from our boss, Freezerman!
Freezerman’s face appeared on the jumbotron.
Freezerman: Good evening. So far, we’ve seen Douglas Brunswick and Cole Arcane qualify for Destroy All Wrestlers. I’m happy to announce the next wrestler. This year, I will admit, we didn’t give him a lot. But, that didn’t stop him from making a mark in the ring when it counted, or, even outside the ring on commentary. Please welcome, Georgios Stannellis!
Georgios’ music started, and he entered the arena to a less than friendly reception. Kitty accompanied him, and the two shared a kiss at the top of the stage.
Georgios Stanellis: Thank you! Freezerman, you may have made some bad decisions this year, but putting me in this match makes up for them all! I am honored to soon be the new HAW World Champion, and more importantly, the million dollar winner! We were looking to buy a second residency and this will be perfect.
Kitty Kayleen: …Not here right?
Georgios Stanellis: Of course not! The less time we spend in this dump of a city the better. Let’s go!
As the crowd booed, Stanellis dropped his mic and exited with Kitty.
Edward Findleton: He probably didn’t need to add that last part.
THE Casey Gains: He’s right though! They don’t deserve to see these two!
Edward Findleton: Well what this crowd will be seeing is some tag team action now.
Team Sentinel entered first, Wesley Wagner and Billy Taylor, accompanied by Sentinel. The Biofuel Engineers followed, and both teams seemed prepared.
The young Team Sentinel had a very fast pace, and looked to be taking the former tag champs by surprise. Sentinel himself was doing a great job coaching, yelling out strategies and advice to his team. However, the Convict came running in from the crowd, and attacked Sentinel. This distracted Wagner and Taylor, with Taylor chasing him, and Wagner losing focus on the ring, allowing Elkins and Mason to hit a Double Flapjack on Wagner, pinning him and moving on.
Edward Findleton: And the Biofuel Engineers move on to the finals!
THE Casey Gains: Looks like they got their old friend The Convict back. A nice clean win for these guys!
Edward Findleton: Clean?!
THE Casey Gains: He didn’t lay a finger on a competitor!
Edward Findleton: That’s gotta be the most preposterous thing I’m going to hear tonight!
Harvey Allison’s theme started up, and wearing a nice suit, he began to make his way down to the ring.
Edward Findleton: Actually I spoke too soon, I think whatever he says will take the cake.
Harvey Allison: Good evening! You may all sit, thank you for the standing ovation! I know many of you have been excited to see me face Sensei Onaga next week at Summit of Success but…heh, I have a feeling that match may not be happening. You see, I sent Strawberry Bates Hill to their little dojo to…teach these Samurais a lesson. If I’m a betting man, Onaga, Trickshot, Ozzie will all be hospitalized and unable to compete, and I will be the winner via forfeit! So I’m sorry for all of you to get your hopes up that- Wait…hold on…
Harvey Allison reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone.
Harvey Allison: I’m getting a video call from Hill!
Allison answered the call, and the jumbotron showed Hill, his face still bandaged up, and cops behind him.
Strawberry Bates Hill: Harvey! Hey! I tried to sneak in but they got me, and subdued me and took me to the station! The police are saying I was breaking and entering! I need that lawyer you promised and some bail out money!
Allison stared at Hill on the jumbotron for a moment, wide eyed and unsure what to do. Slowly he brought his finger to the bottom of the phone and tapped it, and the call disconnected.
Harvey Allison: Onaga! I promise that Handsome Harvey Allison will avenge his friend next week! I’ll see you in the ring.
With that, Harvey Allison exited. The night continued with the next tag match, as The Shadow Hand, Jet Black and Demon Lord Lenin May came out with Peter “Carnage” Horn and Jonah Webb. Their opponents, the MuscleGang, Lovable Liam and Frederic St. Pierre were also accompanied by Crash MuscleGate and Scarred Badger.
The Shadow Hands tried to play dirty, using some underhanded techniques, but Liam and Fred seemed ready. Webb and Horn tried distractions, but it didn’t work on the two veteran wrestlers, and the great tag team chemistry of the MuscleGang paid off when Liam hit a Tiger Bomb on Jet Black and picked up the win.
Edward Findleton: And with that, we have a main event! The MuscleGang vs The Biofuel Engineers!
THE Casey Gains: And the MuscleGang is actually staying out here because that’s coming up very soon, but first, we’re checking in backstage with Franco Mancini!
Franco was pacing around backstage, looking annoyed.
Franco Mancini: So last week…some punk kid calling himself Mayor Briggs jumped me. Alright, I get it. Want to get your frustration out, take out on someone. I’ve been there. Here’s the thing…he chose the wrong guy to attack. So yeah, I got a National Championship match in a month. But you know what? I want something sooner. I want a warm up match against…an unworthy challenger. A pushover. An easy win. So Briggs, I’ll see you in the ring next week at Summit of Success.
Back in the arena, The Biofuel Engineers made their entrance, this time with The Convict.
Edward Findleton: I guess we have another match for next week! Briggs vs Mancini, and either Biofuel or MuscleGang against The Firing Squad!
The two long time teams gave it their all. The MuscleGang had a slow start, being a bit winded still from their previous match, and Dalton Elkins and Sydney Mason tried to take advantage of that. What they couldn’t do was use the Convict, as Crash and Scarred Badger had been keeping a close eye on him.
The Biofuel Engineers managed to hit their Double Flapjack on Liam and thought they had the match won, but St. Pierre managed to break up the pin. Elkins and Mason tried to attack St. Pierre but he managed to fend them off enough for Liam to recover and hit a Tiger Bomb on Elkins. St. Pierre then went back on the apron allowing Liam to make a tag, and Frederic was able to eventually connect with a Butterfly DDT to Sydney Mason and pick up the victory.
A very exhausted MuscleGang celebrated, as Crash and Scarred Badger went to the ring to congratulate them. Moments later, the tag champions, Phoenix and Fun Fight Machine, entered the ring. The MuscleGang seemed a bit apprehensive, but Phoenix and Fun extended their hands for a shake. Fred and Liam, with Badger and Crash behind them, accepted, and the two teams seemed ready for whatever battle would take place next week.
Edward Findleton: Well folks, what a match, what a night for the MuscleGang, but next week is where it all goes down. Summit of Success, we’ll see you there. Good night!
