HAW Lockup theme played to start the show.
Eve Solace: Welcome to Lockup! Eve Solace and Athena here tonight in Denver, Colorado, and one week away from Summit of Success! And we start the show with some great action, The Revellers vs Sekino and Alicia McCarthy, the winner getting to take on The Dystopians!
Both tag teams had made their way to the ring, and the match began, but before any major action can happen, the Dystopians showed up, this time running down with chairs. They first attacked The Revellers, then quickly switched to Sekino and Alicia.The bell was rung signalling a Double DQ, but the attacks didn’t stop until both challenging teams were left on the mat out cold. At that point, an annoyed Delilah walked to the top of the stage with a microphone.
Delilah: You two just ruined a great match we had planned tonight. The fans were excited for this! Now, these women aren’t in a condition to compete…so this will be postponed to next week as Summit of Success! And Dystopians…you are banned from the arena. If you are seen by staff members, security, or try to interfere in any method, you will be stripped of your titles! So be warned!
Delilah left, and the tag champs didn’t seem too happy with the announcement, but also weren’t completely distraught. They laughed at the fallen four challengers, and exited the ring.
Backstage, Juliet Sims was with Summer Fun for an interview.
Juliet Sims: Hello, I’ve got Maple Blossom and Daisy Fields joining me. You two got involved in the Solo Girls vs Lester and Nova match last week. Why?
Daisy Fields: Well we were just honestly hanging out under the ring…
Maple Blossom: Yeah…but…Maisie Lane is sorta…not someone we’re vibing with.
Daisy Fields: She beat Maple last spring but then after the match called us like…a mockery? Dudettem, that’s not cool. So…we just…I guess made a mockery of her last week?
At that point, Maisie Lane had stepped into the picture.
Maisie Lane: You two ARE a mockery! I can’t believe I have to be around you in this company! I look like a D lister around you! So do me a favor, and don’t come out for my match against Bethany Watts!
Maisie walked away, and Summer Fun just shrugged, not seeming to make any promises.
Maisie Lane then entered the arena, and her opponent Bethany Watts followed.
Athena: This is a huge match for Maisie. Watts had an excellent Spring season, listen to who she beat: Lela LaCruse, Makayla Wren, Rachel, Alicia McCarthy and…her current opponent, Maisie Lane. A lot is riding on the line tonight
The match began, and Maisie showed she had definitely improved and had become more focused, getting solid offense on Bethany. But as Bethany started to overpower her and turn the tide, that caught the attention of the Solo Girls, Crystal Cyclone and Rachel, who came running out from the back.
Eve Solace: And here comes Maisie’s new allies…
Crystal and Rachel tried to jump on the apron for a distraction, but Summer Fun ran out, pulling them off the apron and the teams brawling outside the ring. Watts hit the Backbreaker on Maisie, but now Makayla and Susan Wren came running out from the audience, and started yelling at Watts. Referee Mira Brenda Moses was trying to get things under control, but the chaos continued when Sabrina Nova and “The Marauder” Sophie Lester ran down the ramp. Lester immediately attacked Makayla, and Sabrina had some words for Susan. This didn’t sit well for Susan, who slapped Sabrina across the face, which gave Sabrina all she needed to start fighting Susan, who did her best to fight back against the younger star.
Eve Solace: I can’t keep track of what’s going on!
Athena: It’s madness out here!
Additional referees in Heidi O’Neill and Mira Levenberg rushed out, and the three refs were outside the ring, trying to break up all the fights. Maisie had now recovered, and had started to size up Bethany Watts, who was watching the carnage, when coming from the crowd this time was Penny “The Hammer” Downs, sledgehammer in tow.
As she slid into the ring, it caught the attention of Watts, and Penny stood between Lane and Watts, as Lane got to her knees and started to beg. Penny looked down at the grovelling Maisie, and held her hammer close…then swung it in a full arc, right into the ribs of Bethany Watts. Watts doubled over in pain, and Penny Downs swung the hammer right at her spine, before exiting the ring. Lane quickly went to cover Watts, just as Brenda Moses finally returned to the ring, missing everything that went down, and counting to three.
Lane celebrated, even though the chaos still went on outside the ring, and was only stopped when Delilah could be heard shouting “Stop” over the arena sound system. She finally came out, looking frustrated.
Delilah: Second time I’ve needed to come out here tonight, and this is just a mess! I can’t have the show devolve into…whatever this is. So if you all hate each other, then next week….we’ll have a 5 on 5 match! Bethany Watts, Sophie Lester, Sabrina Nova, Daisy Fields, and Maple Blossom against Maisie Lane, Crystal Cyclone, Rachel, Makayla Wren, and Penny Downs! Now everyone get to the back, no more of this!
The fights slowly broke down, and reluctantly, all the women headed to the back, with a lot of tension.
Eve Solace: Wow…what a big match for next week.
Athena: It looks like the slightest spark will make this combust. These 10 are going to be on edge all week!
Eve Solace: I agree, but for now, we are going to go on over to a video package! Enjoy this!
The video started with Zoey Chambers training, as classic training montage music played, and Zoey narrated.
Zoey Chambers: Why do I deserve the HAW Women’s National Championship? There are so many reasons, I can’t list them all. Reason one. Representation of the Title. Reason two. Credibility and Experience. Reason three. Fan Connection. Would you like me to write this as a promo in your voice, or more like a backstage pitch to management? Wait, is that actually something in the script I’m supposed to read? Reason four. Lockerroom Leadership. This is why I should be the next HAW Women’s National Champion!
As the package ended, Zoey was in the ring with her other Stable members, Jenna Ingram and Hazel Glover. She looked proud of the video package, smiling, but the theme of The Executioness Elena Dubois started up and wiped the smile off her face. The National Champion made her way down, looking very serious.
Elena Dubois: I gave you a week….and that’s what you came up? A video of you at the gym working out and…whatever sub-par editing you did? Look, I need to be straight with you right now and…apologize. I thought maybe you had something in you but…this proves it. You don’t. Sorry for getting your hopes up.
Dubois went to leave the ring, but Zoey grabbed her arm.
Zoey Chambers: Look, I’m not sure what you want! But I’m a good wrestler, and I DO want to be champion. I want to defeat you! Because you just started here…and you’re being so pushy! You’re making all these demands, setting all these bars! You win once and you think you have the right to act like this?
Elena Dubois: Yeah, I’m new. I know. It’s established, it’s my weakness. But I have life experience. I know what it takes to win, and I know hardship. Zoey, you don’t know any hardship. So until you have something you want to strive for, you’re not going to get a match, because you won’t beat me!
With that, Dubois blasted Jenna Ingram in the head with the belt, then quickly hit a Running European Uppercut to Hazel Glover. Zoey looked shocked, and Dubois tossed the title into Zoey’s hands. Dubois pointed at her cheek, and leaned her face in, egging Zoey on to hit her. Zoey looked conflicted, then a scowl formed on her face, and she hit Elena directly in the head with the title.
Blood started to trickle down from Dubois. She struggled to reach for a microphone, then looked up at Zoey.
Elena Dubois: You’re on. See you next week.
A hurt Dubois grabbed her title back, and staggered out of the ring.
Eve Solace: Well it looks like it’s official then! Elena Dubois vs Zoey Chambers, next week! The only question remains is the World Title match, which we may find out now!
Moonlight entered the ring first, with Smiling Sally, and moments later, Kherti Bhakta did as well. The two women stood face to face.
Kherti Bhakta: Well, you’re still in one piece. My plan last week didn’t work, but that’s ok…you won’t be in one piece next week after I beat you.
Moonlight: Beat me? Are you serious? You think you’re going to beat me? You’re not even going to be in a match with me! I gave you an opportunity last week to fight Sally, and you chickened out and destroyed my personal property! You are NOT being rewarded with a title match. Good night!
Moonlight turned to leave, but Delilah’s music started up. She came down to the ring, angry.
Delilah: This is now the THIRD time I’ve had to come out here tonight! I’ve had enough! Moonlight, you NEED to defend that title next week!
Moonlight: Fine! I don’t care, as long as it’s not her! It can be some unknown wrestler, it can be some stupid fan….it can even be Eve Solace for all I care!
As Moonlight said that, Smiling Sally’s head turned towards Eve. Sally left the ring and started walking over the announcer’s table. Eve started to back up, but Sally grabbed her by the neck. Athena tried to grab Sally’s arm, but Sally pushed Athena to the ground, and began to lift Eve up by the throat.
Delilah: Stop her! Stop her now!
Moonlight quickly pulled out her phone, panicking, and hit the screen a few times. Sally let go of Eve, who fell to the ground, grasping at her neck. Sally then calmly walked back to the ring, while Delilah looked furious.
Delilah: That’s it! That IS IT! You can’t control her! So if you can’t control her, before she goes and attacks some fan…she is banned from ringside next week! And, your opportunity to choose an opponent has passed. It’s Kherti Bhakta. So prepare for that!
Delilah threw the microphone down, as Moonlight looked very nervous. Kherti simply smiled, and pointed at the title. The two stared each other down to the end the show.
