The show started with Leon Baron’s theme, who walked out to the top of the stage holding the National Championship and a microphone.
Leon Baron: It’s great to be in Dallas, Texas tonight! You guys are rockin, and we’re about to get this show rollin! Of course, there’s a main event title match for the World Championship with Mitchell Row and that pathetic coward Harvey Allison! But there’s also going to a four team tag match to decide the #1 Contender for the titles to face the Strange Crew at Summit of Success! But I came out here to let everyone know that there will be a tournament to find out who I’m defending this title against! Eight men will compete, with the four winners duking it out in a fourway match, and that winner taking me on! Those four men are Caleb Wonder, Crash MuscleGate, Foster McDonald, Tom Shire, Tyler Ford, Tristan Parker, and the two competitors in our first match tonight!
Ian Suarez’s music started up, and he came out on the ramp. He approached Baron, running his mouth while pointing at the title before heading to the ring. The arena then dimmed and was bathed in red light, as Phoenix emerged next. Phoenix got right up in Baron’s face, forehead to forehead, an intense staredown, with neither man flinching. Phoenix finally backed off and continued on down the ramp.
Edward Findleton: Well this will be a fun tournament, but a fairly short bracket!
THE Casey Gains: One win, you’re in the finals. The downside is, you don’t even need to be involved in the decision to lose in the finals. A lot of opportunity here with a mix of some veterans, young guns, and rookies!
The match started, and the crafty Suarez kept Phoenix on his toes, but the new intensity of Phoenix started to wear down Suarez. Phoenix went to the top rope, and a desperate Suarez saw his opportunity and pushed Phoenix off and to the outside. Suarez had turned as he pushed, and didn’t see Phoenix land on his feet, causing Suarez to take a breather and raise his arms in the air in victory. As Phoenix quickly slid in the ring, Ian Suarez turned around in a solid forearm knocking him down, and Phoenix hit the Phoenix Splash to win in 8:38.
Edward Findleton: And Phoenix moves on! A good effort from “Shoelaces” Ian Suarez but you’re going to need more to stop a potential super villain!
Backstage, Kyle Higgins was in a normal polo and jeans, when he approached the Samurais of Power.
Kyle Higgins: Hey fellas.
Trickshot: The man himself!
Ozzie Reagan: The Daddy!
Sensei Onaga: Kyle Higgins!
Kyle Higgins: Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I appreciate everything, the retirement ceremony, searching for me, saving me, and ending those alien scum once and for all.
Ozzie Reagan: We’d do it all over again for you.
Kyle Higgins: Thank you again. But I think this is the last time I’ll be on TV, so I just wanted to tell you guys in person…good luck, especially in this upcoming tag match.
Sensei Onaga: Your words mean everything to us Kyle. This is goodbye, and we hope that one day, we can meet again.
Kyle Higgins: Well they actually hired me for a backstage role, so I’ll actually be here every week seeing you guys. And, we’re in the same hotel, so maybe we can have breakfast there in the morning before our flight tomorrow?
Trickshot: Oh that’s great! Definitely dude! We’ll see you then!
The Samurais all gave Kyle a hug and then walked off, to get ready for their match, as Higgins waved goodbye to them.
The four team tag match would be an elimination tag, and each team made their entrance. The Samurais of Power came first, with Onaga accompanying Trickshot and Ozzie Reagan. Jack Trailor and Local Legend Danny Miller followed, then Team Sentinel with Billy Taylor and Wesley Wagner along with Sentinel, and finally Club Corruption, Night Prince and Ninja.
Only two people would be legal and could tag anyone in, and the action was very quick with frequent team changing. Team Sentinel picked up the first victory when Billy Taylor got a pin on Jack Trailor. Team Sentinel again survived when Wesley Wagner pinned Ninja. The final showdown was between the Samurais of Power and Team Sentinel. Team Sentinel had been wrestling a lot longer, and the fresher Samurais took advantage of it, and were able to take control with Trickshot hitting a Northern Lights Driver on Taylor and pinning them in 10:12.
Post match, all three Samurais shook hands with Team Sentinel.
Edward Findleton: Well it’s official, the Samurais of Power are going to take on the Strange Crew for the tag team titles!
THE Casey Gains: It’s a good thing Kyle Higgins is finally retired and off TV, because I wouldn’t put it past the Strange Crew to kidnap him and hold him ransom.
Edward Findleton: Don’t say those thoughts aloud, they might be watching and we really don’t want Kyle to be taken a second time!
THE Casey Gains: Ok, good point on that.
With the ring cleared, Franco Mancini’s music started up, and he walked down to the ring.
Franco Mancini: I had a really good night last week at Downtown Disaster…that is until these four idiots rushed the ring and cheapshot me. So look, I’m ready now, why don’t you guys come face to face with me right now and try that again?
Franco got his wish as The Shadow Hand emerged and walked down to the ring.
Jonah Webb: Franco Mancini…a legendary wrestler, but perhaps-
Franco Mancini: Shut it, I don’t really care about you. I could knock you out in three seconds. It’s the big guy right here I’m interested in, Peter Horn. Of course, if I recall, it was 2 years ago I faced him at Downtown Disaster…and knocked HIM out in three seconds.
Peter Horn: Yeah. Yeah you did. Here’s the thing, Mancini. That was two years ago. This is now. And right now, things don’t look too good for you.
Webb, Horn, Jet Black, and Lenin May surrounded Franco. He looked ready for a fight, when Douglas Brunswick came running down. He pulled Franco out of the group, and gave him a nod.
Douglas Brunswick: I didn’t appreciate that beatdown either. So as much as I don’t like him…I really don’t like you guys.
With that, Brunswick and Mancini attacked The Shadow Hand. They got a few decent shots in, but the four on two quickly started to overpower them, until Mayor Briggs, The United States, and Bigg Pimpin’ Alex came running down. Briggs and The United States joined the frey and evened the odds. The four Shadow Hand members were eventually knocked outside the ring, retreating to the back.
Edward Findleton: Well how about that! The Shadow Hand sent running to the back by a very unlikely group!
THE Casey Gains: A lot of history between those men, and now they might be allies!
Edward Findleton: With that said, it’s just about time. The HAW World Championship match, next!
Harvey Allison made his entrance first, accompanied by Strawberry Bates Hill, and Allison had a huge smug grin on his face the entire entrance. When Mitchell Row’s music hit, he came out, with his arm in a sling. Seeing this, Allison burst into laughter, pointing at the champion.
Edward Findleton: And Handsome Harvey Allison is delighted. He injures this man’s arm seconds after winning the title for the third time in his career, and now he’s actually going to wrestle him.
THE Casey Gains: He’s working with what he has to work with Edward. You can't blame him!
A clearly hurt Row stood in his corner, ready for the match to begin. When the bell rang, Allison immediately rushed and attacked the injured arm, pulling the sling off and doing everything he could to damage it.
Harvey Allison absolutely dominated, and Row was clearly struggling. After hitting a shoulderbreaker to Row, Allison celebrated, posing for the crowd and then yelling at some fans in the front row. As he finally turned his attention back to Row, Row ran and hit Allison with a Spear. But instead of covering, Row grasped at his shoulder he connected with Allison’s body.
THE Casey Gains: That damage is coming into effect here!
The delay allowed Harvey to recover enough, and the dazed and pained men got to their feet, just for Harvey to hit a Sitout Jawbreaker onto Row. Harvey covered, and picked up the three count, winning the World Championship.
Strawberry Bates Hill was elated and quickly grabbed the title, rushing it into the ring and giving it to Harvey. Harvey was still hurt and seemed out of it, not fully understanding for a few moments, until Hill started to explain. Allison then smiled, and weakly held the title up in victory.
Edward Findleton: Handsome Harvey Allison…is the HAW World Champion. I never thought I’d see that happen, but here we are.
Allison got onto the ropes, holding his title up, when his music stopped. Freezerman then appeared on the jumbotron.
Freezerman: Congratulations Harvey Allison, on winning your first World Title! You followed the rules of the contract, and achieved your goal. Good job. That being said, while everything you did was legal…I truly don’t think attacking a wrestler seconds after he wins is the hallmark of a good champion. So while I’m not going to spoil your celebration with an attack, I do want to give you this news. Your opponent at Summit of Success will be…the man who defeated you for the National Championship, Leon Baron!
Hill’s jaw dropped, and Baron’s music started up again. He rushed out, down to the ring, and Hill and Allison bolted into the crowd. Baron pointed to the fleeing men, then went to check on Row, as the show went off the air.
