*HAW Throwdown intro played to start the show*
Edward Findleton: Welcome to another episode of Throwdown! Edward Findleton with THE Casey Gains in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! We’ve got an exciting show tonight!
THE Casey Gains: Another debuting wrestler tonight, and our main event will decide who the new tag team champions, The Biofuel Engineers, will face at One Way Trip as The MuscleGang gets a mini End of the Trail rematch against The Shadow Hand, it’s St. Pierre and Liam vs Jet Black and Lenin May!
Edward Findleton: But first, we’re kicking off the show with a one on one match with a new challenger!
Leon Baron’s music started up, his pyro exploded, and he walked out roaring, absolutely ready for this match. Strawberry Bates Hill made his entrance next, with Handsome Harvey Allison by his side. Hill looked very apprehensive as he made his way down to the ring, but Allison reassured him and could be heard saying he’ll be right in his corner.
As the match started, Hill tried a few chops, but it seemed to only anger Baron, who quickly overpowered him. After a few powerful slams, Harvey Allison started to slowly skirt back towards the entrance ramp, and was out of sight by the time Leon Baron hit the Canadian Destroyer, pinning Hill in 1:21.
Edward Findleton: Complete domination by Leon Baron.
THE Casey Gains: Leon held the VCW title for 16 months, Harvey Allison will have a tough time figuring out a way to stop him.
Backstage, Fun Fight Machine was staring intently into the camera.
Fun Fight Machine: I should have seen it coming. Betrayed again by Phoenix. I trusted him! He was a good man! And now…I have not heard from him all week. No one had. He didn’t even show up tonight! So Phoenix…I demand to see you next week! I want to hurt you as much as you hurt me! If you aren’t a coward…I’ll meet you in the ring.
Back at ringside, Local Legend Danny Miller’s music started, and he came down to the ring accompanied by Jack Trailor, with Miller wearing hometown black and yellow colors. His opponent came out next, the debuting Ian Suarez.
Edward Findleton: And here comes VCW’s Ian Suarez, sometimes goes by the nickname “Shoelaces.”
THE Casey Gains: What’s that even mean?
Edward Findleton: Beats me! But this hot headed cruiserweight saw some success in VCW recently as a tag champion, lets see if he can beat one of HAW’s former tag team champions!
The match started off with Danny Miller showing his veteran ring skills, and Suarez would repeatedly get upset and angry, frustrated he couldn’t out wrestle Miller. The match turned in Suarez’s favor when he rolled out of the ring near Trailor, and then started holding his eye, claiming Trailor attacked him. With the ref distracted sending Trailor to the back, Suarez hit Miller with brass knuckles and then a Springboard Elbow Drop to pick up the win in 6:26.
THE Casey Gains: I like this guy! He has all the makings of a great wrestler!
Edward Findleton: He was struggling against, with all due respect, Danny Miller!
THE Casey Gains: I’ll be sure to tell Miller you threw that subtle jab back at him.
Edward Findleton: Regardless, we are going backstage now to check in on Freezerman who has an announcement to make!
In his office, Freezerman was sitting at a desk.
Freezerman: Good evening HAW fans. I’d like to officially announce that at One Way Trip, the match between Cole Arcane and the World Champion Pastor James, will be-
He was cut off as a side door opened, and a brawling Arcane and James fell into the room. Arcane threw James across the desk, knocking everything down. James grabbed a small ink pen and jabbed Arcane in the thigh, before getting up and tossing him headfirst into a nearby flatscreen TV. Arcane was woozy but as James rushed towards him, Arcane grabbed a book and hit him across the face. The two then stumbled out of the room, as moments later, security ran by to try and break them up.
Freezerman turned back to the camera.
Freezerman: …..No disqualification match. Enjoy!
Back at ring side, the MuscleGang, Fred, Liam, Crash and Scarred Badger were making their entrance.
Edward Findleton: Well we got a huge main event! Frederic St. Pierre and Lovable Liam vs Jet Black and Demon Lord Lenin May!
THE Casey Gains: Famously, The Shadow Hand defeated the MuscleGang at End of the Trail last year in a four on four, but that beef all started with Liam and St. Pierre defeated Black and May in a tag team tournament, so there’s a lot of history going on here.
The Shadow Hand followed, with Jonah Webb and Peter “Carnage” Horn accompanying May and Black.
Both teams fought hard and very stiff, as there was no respect shown to either group, it was just each wrestler trying to get an advantage. However, St. Pierre managed to hit a Butterfly DDT on Lenin May, and picked up the victory in 10:39.
Webb and Horn were upset, and immediately entered the ring and attacked Fred and Liam. Crash and Badger responded and jumped into the frey as all four teams were battling
Horn managed to hit a Side Sitout Powerslam on Badger and kicked him out of the ring, but a double team clothesline from St. Pierre and Liam knocked Horn out. Meanwhile, Crash hit three Dropkicks in a row on May, Black, and finally Webb, sending them all out. With the Shadow Hand grouped together, Crash ran and jumped over the ropes, knocking them all down.
As Liam and Fred stood triumphantly, the Biofuel Engineers emerged from the crowd and attacked their challengers. Sydney Mason hit Liam with a Knee Drop Brainbuster, while Dalton Elkins managed a Suplex Powerslam on St. Pierre.
The two Biofuel Engineers stood over all the downed men, as the champions stood tall to end the show.
