The HAW Throwdown theme started the show.
Edward Findleton: Welcome to HAW Throwdown! We are in Virginia Beach, Virginia, I’m Edward Findleton with THE Casey Gains and what a show we have tonight! A new World Champion Cole Arcane will make his first championship appearance, we have two debuts, and the new National champion, Leon Baron will go one on one in a non title match against Lenin May!
THE Casey Gains: You mentioned debuts Edward, we got our first match and our first debut now!
The theme music of VCW’s Tristan Parker started up, and the young wrestler came out with his letterman jacket and arrogant smirk. The smile didn’t fade at all when his opponent made his entrance, Douglas Brunswick.
Edward Findleton: We heard Brunswick say he’s wanted to get back into the championship picture, but what would that do for young Tristan Parker if he beats a former World Champion?
THE Casey Gains: I would say it would help his confidence, but it looks like his confidence meter is maxed out.
As the match began, Parker showed some good wrestling ability, seemingly impressing Brunswick. Parker had the former champ on the ropes, with a few close pinfalls and then a vicious german suplex. Instead of going for the pin, Parker taunted and trash talked the crowd. This gave Brunswick the chance to recover, take control, and eventually pin Parker with the Lifting Reverse DDT in 5:38.
Edward Findleton: Tristan Parker looked decent in his debut, but ultimately Brunswick set out what he wanted to do, and has his first win of the season!
As the ring cleared, Cole Arcane’s music started up, and the champion walked down to the ring.
Cole Arcane: I am your new HAW World Champion. I am your BEST HAW World Champion. I’m the first man to hold this championship and an RFW Grand Championship. I transcend styles, promotions, and overcome every challenger that comes in front of me. Most recently, Pastor James. A pathetic, small man who couldn’t even hold the title for a single defense. And the best part? He’s out. His injuries are too severe and HAW Medical has confirmed he is not cleared for the remainder of the season!
THE Casey Gains: He’s telling the truth on that, I heard that earlier today backstage.
Cole Arcane: Which brings me to my next opponent. I don’t care about fanfare and entertainment, it’s Mitchell Row. I hear cheers because he’s a hometown hero, a “navy man” as he likes to be called. He can have his spectacular entrances with fake lightning and rain, but none of that will change that at Downtown Disaster, I’m going to beat the ever living hell out of him. Or, I can do that right now if he’s man enough to show up.
Arcane turned to the entry way, and there was no dramatic music, just Row coming out and charging to the ring. The two brawled exchanging punches, and Arcane started to get the upper hand. He went for the Running Bulldog but Row pushed Arcane off of him into the ropes. On the rebound, he hit Arcane with a Spear, then lifted him up and hit the Fireman’s Carry Slam. Row covered Cole Arcane and Row performed his own three count, signifying what the future may hold.
As the crowd cheered, the lights suddenly dimmed and a spotlight focused on the stage. There was a bright flash and smoke, and appearing on the stage was VCW’s Caleb Wonder. As he walked down to the ring, he performed a few minor magic tricks, making a card “disappear” and producing a small flame. He went into the ring and picked up the microphone that was lying next to Cole Arcane.
Caleb Wonder: Ladies and Gentlemen, behold the magnificent Caleb Wonder! Watch in astonishment as he completes the amazing feat of beating a divorced bachelor! Applaud as Caleb Wonder makes sure that his stupendous debut and match is not taken off the card!
Referee Tom Hunter quickly ran to the ring, and Caleb seemed pleased as he rang the bell.
Caleb Wonder: Now prepare for yourself, as you witness history for the match of the century as scholars and children alike will-OOF!
Row had hit Caleb Wonder with a Spear mid sentence, and Wonder fell right next to Arcane. Row covered Wonder, and made sure to have an arm on Arcane, as Tom Hunter counted to three.
Edward Findleton: Mitchell Row defeats Caleb Wonder and…in his own way, defeated Cole Arcane twice!
THE Casey Gains: Look, Arcane wasn’t in a match, AND it’s only been one week since a painful championship match. I expert he’ll be much more recovered at Downtown Disaster
Eventually the music of The Shadow Hand played, and the group of four came out for Lenin May’s match, and his opponent Leon Baron quickly followed suit.
The new National Champion showcased his explosive offense, and was ready for whatever he Demon Lord tried to hit him with. It didn’t last long as Baron hit the Canadian Destroyer and pinned Lenin May in 4:16.
As Baron celebrated, it looked like the Shadow Hand was about to jump into the ring and attack Baron from behind, when Georgios Stanellis crept out from under the ring and got in first, and blasted Baron. Stanellis continued a beatdown on Baron, before holding up the National Championship and pointing to himself. Peter Horn looked like he was itching to get in the ring, but Jonah Webb held him back and seemed to write something in a small notepad before ushering his group away.
Edward Findleton: A strong win for Baron but Georgios Stanellis is looking like he wants to challenge for that title!
THE Casey Gains: Yes, and the most polite way to challenge a man is attacking him, it shows you mean business!
Edward Findleton: I’m not even going to waste time on responding to that, but I also can’t help but notice how angry Horn has been.
THE Casey Gains: Yeah, the Shadow Hands have had their hands in everybody’s business it seems, with the MuscleGang and Biofuel Engineers, and now witnessing this. But it looks like Webb might be planning something.
Edward Findleton: Speaking of the Biofuel Engineers, lets go backstage to Gregory Greystone.
Gregory Greystone: Hello ladies and gentlemen! I’m here with Dalton Elkins and Sydney Mason, the Biofuel Engineers and the tag team champions! Gentlemen, I heard you had a message you wanted to convey?
Sydney Mason: That’s right. See, we’re not dumb. You can go back and watch what happens on these shows, it’s not like no one is recording it. There’s a camera guy right there!
Dalton Elkins: And we found out the Strange Crew was trying to murder us? We’ve dealt with those freaks before, we hate their guts, but we would never consider murdering them! …With that being said, we are petitioning for them to be fired!
Hawaii: Whoa whoa, hold up!
Hawaii entered into the frame, his arms up trying to be appear unthreatening.
Hawaii: I think you have it all wrong. Murder you? Me? Drizzles? We would never want to “murder” you!
Dalton Elkins: You had a guillotine!
Hawaii: Yes! It was…a metaphor! A metaphor for saying we would like a shot at the tag titles! And if you’re dead, we can’t really wrestle you and win those, can we? So just think that through.
Sydney Mason: Fine. You want a shot, you got one.
Hawaii clapped his hands and laughed over the top, as he grabbed Gregory Greystone and started to forcefully move his body behind Hawaii’s
Hawaii: Perfect! That’s amazing! I’m really glad you guys can agree to that! …..And now! …Now! I said NOW!
Hawaii turned around and the camera panned over to Drizzles, who was flipping a lever up and down, but nothing was happening. Drizzles just shrugged, and seeing that, the Biofuel Engineers took off running. Seconds later, a grand piano fell from the ceiling, crashing to the floor right where the tag champs had been standing.
Hawaii: Hmm…should have cut their brakes. Oh well, we still have a few weeks to get this done. Come on Drizzles!
Back at ringside, the Samurais of Power made their way to the ring.
Sensei Onaga: At this time, we would like to bring out a special guest. We consider him an honorary Samurai, a man who has fought besides us in many battles. The Rookie, The Daddy, the one and only, Kyle Higgins!
Kyle Higgins came out, normal street clothes and waved to the crowd as he got into the ring, hugging each samurai.
Sensei Onaga: Kyle Higgins, you have been an inspiration to us. I know you don’t believe in the fanfare of a grand retirement ceremony, but we believe you deserve it. You may not have ever held a world title, but you showed heart, determination, courage, and graciously passed along knowledge to anyone who asked for help, both in and outside of wrestling. We will miss you, and we want you to hear the appreciation from the audience one last time.
The audience cheered, and Kyle took a microphone.
Kyle Higgins: Thank you. It really does mean a lot. I really don’t believe I deserve a ceremony like this, I’m not a legend, just a guy lucky enough to decide one day to follow his dream, and live it through. So if I had a positive impact on anyone’s life, then I consider my whole career a success. Thank you!
Kyle Higgins music played and he waved goodbye to the fans as the crowd cheered, the Samurai’s clapping for him. Higgins bowed, gave one last wave, when suddenly the lights and music all went out.
One spotlight hit the ring where Onaga was standing, freezing him in place. Another hit where Trickshot was freezing him, finally a third hitting Ozzie. A dim golden light came over the ring, and from the crowd, a bunch of Visitor minions, maybe around 30, jumped the barricade and into the ring.
Higgins tried to fight them off, knocking a couple down, but he was instantly swarmed and attacked and beaten down. With Higgins out cold, the Visitors picked him up and carried him to the back, the Samurais still in a state of paralysis in the lights. The feed then abruptly cut to end the show.
