Edward Findleton: Welcome everybody to HAW’s Summit of Success! We’re here in Dallas, Texas, and I’m joined by THE Casey Gains and Eve Solace!
THE Casey Gains: Thank you Edward! I’ve got to say, we’ve got an exciting card tonight. With the men, “Handsome” Harvey Allison will defend his National Championship against Sensei Onaga, Franco Mancini takes on Mayor Briggs, we have our tag team tournament winners The MuscleGang looking to dethrone The Firing Squad, and Freezerman will announce the next participant in Destroy All Wrestlers! Eve?
Eve Solace: The women have just as much action going on. Alicia McCarthy and Sekino The Stunt Pilot will battle The Revellers to see who gets to face The Dystopians, The Executioness Elena Dubois defends the National Championship against Zoey Chambers, and a great main event of Kherti Bhakta vs the HAW Women’s World Champion, Moonlight, with Smiling Sally barred from ringside! It’s a lot, but the women are also kicking off the show with a crazy match, a 5 on 5 match. “No Nonsense” Bethany Watts, “The Marauder” Sophie Lester, Sabrina Nova, and Summer Fun, Daisy Fields and Maple Blossom battle it out against Penny “The Hammer” Downs, Makayla Wren, Maisie Lane, and The Solo Girls, Crystal Cyclone and Rachel!
Edward Findleton: Can you try and explain what prompted that match?
Eve Solace: I really struggle with that, this is just a group of people who simply can’t stand each other!
With that, the team of Bethany, Sophie, Sabrina, Daisy and Maple made their way down to the ring, the group looking determined and ready. Their opponents of Penny, Maisie, Crystal, Rachel, Makayla Wren, accompanied by her mother Susan, followed.
Maple Blossom and Maisie Lane started the match, with Maisie yelling insults about Maple’s lifestyle. Maple was clearly upset and launched herself right into Maisie. Maple made some quick tags with Daisy, and Summer Fun started to double team Maisie with stomps in the corner, until the two started making such frequent tags, they were each entering and exiting the ring in a circle, forgetting about Maisie. Sabrina finally got them back on track, and Daisy made her back in the ring, but Maisie had rushed over and tagged in Crystal Cyclone.
Crystal and Daisy had some back and forth action, until this time it was Crystal isolating Daisy, and making tags with Rachel. Their double team attacks were much more focused, completely wearing down Daisy Fields. Crystal then went to the top rope to do an elbow drop, but Daisy rolled out of the way, and managed to make a hot tag to Sophie Lester.
The Marauder came in with a fire, clotheslining Crystal as she got to her feet, then managing to hit all four women on the apron with a double clothesline that knocked them off. Sophie was in complete control of Crystal, and had a few close pinfalls, including a powerslam that seemed to knock Crystal out. However, before the three count could hit, Crystal thumbed Sophie in the eye, and she instinctively leaned back, breaking up the count.
Crystal managed to make a tag to Makayla Wren, while Sophie tagged out for Sabrina Nova. Sabrina tried to continue with Sophie’s previous momentum, but while running the ropes was tripped up by Susan Wren. It’s just enough time for Makayla to recover and hit a roundhouse kick, knocking Sabrina to the mat. Makayla started stomping on Sabrina as Susan cheered her on. The stomps continued until Sabrina caught the boot of Makayla, and tripped her up. Sabrina tried to quickly lock in a half crab, and Makayla came close to tapping, but crawled towards the ropes. Susan Wren then pushed the ropes forward an extra few inches, and Makayla grabbed, breaking the submission.
Makayla slowly got to her feet, as did an exhausted Sabrina. Makayla taunted Nova, telling her to bring it, but instead, Sabrina casually tagged in Bethany Watts, and Makayla’s face dropped. She tried to run to her partners but Bethany grabbed her and slammed her to the mat. Watts picked up Wren again, and hit a vicious fallaway slam, and appeared fully in control, until Susan got on the ring apron. Bethany Watts had seen enough, and picked up Susan Wren and tossed her into the ring. Makayla made a quick tag to Maisie Lane, who tried to attack Bethany from behind, but Bethany saw her at the last moment and tossed her outside the ring.
While Makayla started to yell for Watts to get away from her mother, Daisy Fields jumped into the ring, ran, and did a suicide dive to Maisie outside the ring. Makayla then rushed the ring and hit Watts, and her and her mother managed to toss Watts outside the ring as well. Sophie Lester then ran into the ring and started punching Makayla, forcing her to retreat outside the ring. The action started to break down, with most of the women going outside to fight. Susan followed Makayla and Lester, demanding she stop, but Sophie simply hit a huge haymaker on Susan, before tossing Makayla over the barricade. Makayla and Sophie began to brawl into the crowd, going deeper and deeper.
Meanwhile as The Solo Girls tried to team up outside the ring, Sabrina Nova climbed the top rope and jumped. Rachel dodged the attack but Crystal took the brunt of a crossbody. Rachel took a few steps backwards until she bumped right into Bethany Watts. As Rachel turned around, Watts picked up Rachel and slammed her right through the announce table.
Edward Findleton: No! Not in the first match!
Meanwhile, Penny Downs started to brawl outside with Maple Blossom, and Maple tried to get her feet in place to lock in for a Figure Four Headscissors, but Penny powered out and hit a powerbomb onto the steel steps. Penny then got on the apron, as Crystal Cyclone climbed into the ring. Crystal was crawling across the ring, and weakly made a tag to Penny. Instead of entering, Penny immediately jumped down from the apron and began to walk away.
Eve Solace: What is she doing?
Crystal was just as confused, which quickly became terror when Bethany Watts entered and lifted her up. Watts hit the backbreaker on Crystal and went for the pin, but referee Nadia Alonso refused to count. It was at that point Penny rushed back into the ring, kicking the back of Bethany’s knee to drop her. Penny kept up the assault, then got Watts in position to hit the Single Underhook Facebuster. Watts hit hard, and Penny covered for a pin, picking up the victory for her team.
Edward Findleton: An absolutely chaotic finish to what has been a chaotic few weeks with these women, but Penny “The Hammer” Downs comes out on top tonight.
Eve Solace: She proved tonight, she’s not someone to forget about. The future is still bright for her, even if her actions are less than honorable.
The camera showed that for most of Penny’s team outside the ring, the toll of the match had done a number on her team mates. In the crowd, Sophie stood over a now unconscious Makayla. Susan Wren herself was out cold, as was Rachel and Crystal Cyclone. Maisie Lane had managed to recover to a knee, but didn’t appear celebratory. Only Penny Downs stood triumphant and stone faced in the ring, before exiting.
Edward Findleton: Well as we clean up all this carnage, we need to quickly get ready for our next match. It’s the HAW National Championship match.
THE Casey Gains: And I’d like to point out that Strawberry Bates Hill won’t be in Harvey’s corner tonight. I asked Harvey about this earlier, and he said that Hill’s public defender didn’t manage to get him out of prison yet, but that there’s a plea deal on the table and Hill can return to work next week with an ankle monitor.
Eve Solace: Good for him trying to rehab his life!
The Samurai’s of Power theme started, and Sensei Onaga came out with Ozzie Reagan and Trickshot. His friends did a lot to relax and encourage him, rubbing his shoulders and helping him warm up. Handsome Harvey Allison followed next, the HAW National Champion flexing and posing his whole entrance down the ramp.
As both men got to the ring, Harvey Allison did a mock bow to Onaga. Onaga looked irked, but bowed in return. As the match began, the two surprisingly ended up doing chain wrestling, with neither Onaga or Allison looking out of place. However, Harvey started to take the upper hand when he began to grab Onaga’s shirt and trying to force it over his head to blind him. Onaga managed to counter before hitting a classic karate chop into Allison’s neck. Onaga went on an offensive attack of quick strikes, resulting in Allison retreating from the ring to catch a breather.
The champion looked very frustrated, his hands on his head before collecting himself and going back to the ring. Harvey extended a handshake and a smile to Onaga, but Onaga kicked his hand and went on the offensive.
Outside, Ozzie and Trickshot kept encouraging Onaga, who felt everything going his way. He had Allison in the corner and went for a running knee, but Harvey ducked, and Onaga’s knee rammed into the ring post. He collapsed to the ground, clutching his knee in pain.
Trickshot and Ozzie went to check on Onaga, giving Allison a lot of time to recover. Referee Dillon Bartos also checked to see if Onaga wanted to quit, but Onaga refused. As he stood up with a major limp, Allison had no shame and immediately dropkicked the bad knee. Harvey Allison continued the attacks on the knee, wrapping it around the ropes and stomping on it, and taking him to the ringpost and throwing it against the metal.
Onaga was screaming in pain, but still trying to fight. He got a few strikes on Allison, but Allison would just attack the knee, and get Onaga to the ground again. Harvey seemed to have had enough, and began to simply just stomp on the knee, repeatedly, again and again. The crowd began to boo, as the stomping continued.
Edward Findleton: Ok! That’s gotta be enough! His career could be ending before our eyes!
Onaga was trying desperately to block the attacks, but Allison wouldn’t stop, causing Onaga to scream in pain more and more. Outside, Trickshot and Ozzie looked so conflicted, before sharing a glance. With a quick nod, the two ran in, and attacked Harvey Allison. Dillon Bartos immediately called for a DQ, awarding Allison the victory.
Harvey fled the other Samurais, pleased that he won the match, and grabbed the title before heading up the ramp. Ozzie and Trickshot turned their attention away from Harvey, less concerned about revenge and more about their fallen leader, trying to help while medics came in to assess the situation.
Eve Solace: I think we can say Sensei Onaga fought with the honor of a true Samurai. He never gave up, and it was his friends throwing in the towel.
THE Casey Gains: I gotta agree. If they didn’t jump in, I think we’d still be watching a man get his knee destroyed in the ring.
Edward Findleton: Well as Onaga gets helped to the back, our next match is the #1 contender’s match for the HAW Women’s Tag Championship. Who will face The Dystopians, The Revellers of Alicia McCarthy and Sekino The Stunt Pilot? Eve, what’s your take.
Eve Solace: I hate making predictions, and I won’t say who I think is going to win this…but there are two VERY strong wrestlers in that ring. I think they have to be the favorites heading in.
THE Casey Gains: You’re choosing Alicia and Sekino, we get it. But look, The Revellers have teamed together for years. Alicia and Sekino just don’t have that tag team experience.
Eve Solace: And that’s why I hate making predictions!
Alicia and Sekino made their entrance, McCarthy stone-faced and the Stunt Pilot with a sadistic grin, ready to inflict pain. The Revellers followed, with Teri and Roo trying to get the crowd into it, directly engaging with audience members the whole way down.
Alicia and Roo start, and the match mimicked the early singles matches, with Alicia overpowering her opponent and tossing Roo around. Roo started to change up her gameplan, and began to use her agility, and started to take Alicia off her feet with some quick arm drags, allowing her to tag in Teri. The two managed to double team Alicia a bit until referee Brenda Moses forced Roo back to her corner.
Teri continued the fast pace, but when Irish whipping Alicia, Sekino managed to tagged in by slapping McCarthy’s back. Teri saw the tag and changed her focus to Sekino, but Alicia rebounded from the ropes and hit a quick bulldog onto Teri.
Facing a fresh Sekino while recently hurt put Teri in a vulnerable position, and Sekino showed why she was dangerous. She showed no mercy to Teri, jumping on her, hitting elbows and knees, and throwing her shoulder first into the ring post multiple times.
Sekino isolated Teri to her corner, and began pummelling her with blows to the body, and Teri couldn’t even defend herself. The blows kept continuing, until Alicia tagged herself in by slapping Sekino’s back. The Stunt Pilot looked at McCarthy, confused and not expecting the tag. McCarthy tried to reassure Sekino, who begrudgingly went to the apron. Alicia took a few steps back to gain some momentum, then charged the corner and jumped trying to hit a splash. Teri ducked and dodged, and Alicia’s body went right into the turnbuckles, knocking the wind out of her.
Teri scrambled with whatever energy she had and rushed to her corner, making the tag to Roo. She jumped to the top rope and hit a crossbody on Alicia, and smoothly bounced back to her feet and elbowed Sekino off the apron. Roo continued her assault on Alicia, until McCarthy pushed her away. The two stared each other down, until Teri crept in the ring, got behind McCarthy, and hit a Backdrop Driver. McCarthy somehow managed to stay conscious and on her knees, but Roo ran and hit a Cyclone Kick.
As Roo went for the cover, Teri looked to focus on Sekino, who at this point was now standing outside the ring, observing, and not trying to stop the count. In the end, Roo pinned Alicia, and The Revellers won the match.
Edward Findleton: So it looks like the Dystopians will be facing The Revellers! I don’t think we anticipated these two teams meeting again so soon!
Teri and Roo ran out to the crowd to celebrate, while Sekino slowly made her way back to the ring. McCarthy was still on the ground, trying to catch her breath. The Stunt Pilot calmly climbed the ropes, then jumped, hitting a Moonstomp right onto McCarthy. With that, Sekino exited the ring.
THE Casey Gains: …Alright, I guess these two don’t make good partners.
Edward Findleton: I agree, I think that experiment might be over, as it doesn’t look like Sekino wants anything to do with Alicia.
Eve Solace: So we already know some matches that look to be taking place. Matches like The Revellers vs The Dystopians, and Harvey Allison vs Franco Mancini. But speaking of Franco Mancini…
Edward Findleton: It seems his match against Mayor Briggs is up next!
THE Casey Gains: Did you two rehearse that? That sickens me.
Franco Mancini’s music began and he made his way to the ring. There’s been times where he looked more serious, or more angry. He seemed to have the attitude of this being a warm up match, but when he passed a fan holding a Mayor Brigg’s sign, he snatched it out of their hands and tore it up.
Mayor Briggs entered next, and was accompanied by his City Council, The United States and Bigg Pimpin’ Alex. Briggs was angry, and marched towards the ring with a purpose.
THE Casey Gains: The roles really feel reversed. Mancini is typically focused, and Briggs usually has that laissez-faire attitude of trusting his schemes.
As referee Tom Hunter started the match, Briggs immediately jumped at Mancini and launched a series of punches. This seemed to take Mancini off guard, and Briggs hit a solid punch that sent Mancini through the ropes. Briggs followed him out, not relenting.
Eve Solace: I don’t think I’ve ever seen this side of Mayor Briggs!
Briggs continued to use the outside of the ring as weapons, tossing Mancini into steps, barricades, ring post, slamming him against the ring apron. The match was all Mayor Briggs as he rolled Mancini into the ring. He waited for Mancini to get to his feet, crept up behind him, and went to hit the Half and Half Suplex, but Mancini fought out and reversed it into a Pickpocket (Reverse STO).
Mancini was exhausted and couldn’t make the cover. He crawled to Briggs ever so slowly, and draped an arm over Briggs, but Briggs kicked out at two. Mancini started to get to his feet faster than Briggs, and hit a few chops and a knee breaker to drop Briggs. Mancini stood up Briggs, and went to hit the Pickpocket again. But mirror the moment from earlier. Briggs fought out and reversed into the Half and Half Suplex.
Briggs had launched Franco far with the suplex, and decided against trying to cover, but instead tried to stand up and get his energy back. Franco started to do the same, both men winded and hurt.
It was at that point Harvey Allison started running down the ramp, holding a broom. He slid into the ring and as both men turned, he used the broom to clothesline both men across the through at the same time. Tom Hunter immediately called for the bell, resulting in a double DQ. The United States and Bigg Pimpin’ Alex rushed into the ring, but Allison rolled out and walked up the ramp backwards, grinning and holding his arms (and the broom) up high in victory.
Edward Findleton: Well I guess Harvey sending a message to Franco with that.
Eve Solace: I’m just a bit disappointed we were robbed of a good match! I was excited to see if Briggs could pull off the upset!
The City Council had helped Briggs up and out of the ring, leaving Franco. He was sitting now, and holding his throat, but also smiling and nodding. He clapped his hands and exited the ring, seemingly satisfied with getting what he wanted out of that match.
THE Casey Gains: Hey speaking of National Champion matches, guess what? Our next match is the Women’s National Championship! Beat you to the segue, Edward.
Zoey Chambers made her entrance, doing the typical entrance for the Stable, and being sure to engage with the fans on the way down. The Executioness Elena Dubois followed in her duster and cowboy hat, and came out shaking her head, looking disappointed at Zoey as if she’s still the same person.
As the match began, Zoey offered a handshake. Elena positively responded but with a very firm, tough handshake, and a staredown afterwards before breaking it. Zoey seems unphased and positive, shrugged, and locked up with Dubois.
The match started off technical, with Zoey surprising Elena with her speed with some take downs, submissions, and even a few roll up. After kicking out, Elena seemed a little impressed and gave a nod of respect, only for Zoey to immediately kick her in the jaw.
Elena looked out cold as Zoey went for a cover, but the Executioness kicked out at the last moment.
Dubois looked in trouble, and Zoey wasn’t stopping. Her attacks kept coming until Elena started to block some punches, then managed to strike back. The momentum was stopped with a solid german suplex, allowing Dubois to take a breather.
It was now Elena, slowly starting to wear Zoey down, locking in an armbar. Chambers managed to swing her feet to the rope, but Elena was unphased. She tossed Elena to the corner and delivered stiff chops to her upper chest.
Dubois then went to whip Chambers into the opposite turnbuckle, but Zoey reversed the whip. Dubois hit the corner hard and stumbled back. Zoey then threw Elena into the ropes again. Zoey did a leapfrog over Dubois, but as she turned around, Dubois hit with the Running European Uppercut. Zoey collapsed to the ground, and Dubois quickly covered as referee Mira Levenberg counted to three.
As Jenna and Hazel went to the ring to check on Zoey, Elena grabbed her title, duster and hat, putting them all on in the ring. A dazed Zoey Chambers got to her feet with her arms being supported by her Stable companions, when Elena approached her. The Executioness simply tipped her hat, then walked off.
Eve Solace: A solid bit of respect there by Elena Dubois. I think she came in underestimating Zoey, and even though she lost, I think Zoey still proved that you can be a positive person AND a good wrestler.
THE Casey Gains: I can not disagree more. I mean, she lost!
Edward Findleton: Because being a negative person means you win championships, right Casey? You won how many titles in your career?
THE Casey Gains: ……..I’m being told Gregory Greystone is backstage with an interview, let’s toss it to him!
Gregory Greystone: Hello ladies and gentlemen! I’m being joined by Douglas Brunswick and Cole Arcane! Gentlemen, you’ll be facing each other at End of the Trail, along with Georgios Stanellis and 5 other competitors! How are each of you preparing for this match?
Douglas Brunswick: I’ve been preparing but making sure I don’t get attacked by guys like Arcane, like he did to me a few weeks ago.
Cole Arcane: You’re not resting 2 months without a scratch on your body. I’d happily do the same right now, but I’m a really nice guy, and I don’t want to seriously injure Gregory here when he gets caught between us.
Gregory Greystone: Uhh…when?
Douglas Brunswick:. You’re a tough guy…but at this point, I don’t really respect you. I used to…but since you came here, you’ve been a bit of a whiner. So when you attack me, I’ll be very ready and happy to fight back.
Gregory Greystone: Why do you keep saying when?
Brunswick and Arcane got up into each other’s faces, until pushing between them was Kitty Kayleen.
Kitty Kayleen: You two hurt each other like basic cavemen. It will make it that easier when my real man, Georgios Stanellis, wins the HAW World Championship.
Brunswick and Arcane seemed to take her words in, and decided to each walk away. Gregory breathed a sigh of relief and wiped some sweat on his forehead.
Edward Findleton: And Gregory lives to see another day! Well folks, get ready, it’s time for the Tag Team Championship match! The MuscleGang survived a grueling tournament, defeating El Espectro and El Termitas, The Shadow Hand, and The Biofuel Engineers!
With that, Frederic St. Pierre and Lovable Liam made their entrance, accompanied by Crash Musclegate and Scarred Badger.
Eve Solace: Frederic and Liam are former tag team champions together themselves, and their first match as a tag team was in September of 2012! Thirteen years of tag experience is going to be a major challenge for the relatively new Firing Squad!
THE Casey Gains: Lots of experience, but The Firing Squad consist of two former World Champions, and to be honest, a lot of cheating. That’s a tough team to combat.
The Firing Squad, Phoenix and Fun Fight Machine, followed with their tag team titles. As they all got into the ring, both teams shook hands, and the match began.
The first half of the bout saw Fun Fight Machine out wrestling Lovable Liam, repeatedly locking in holds to slow the match to a crawl. Liam was able to finally make a tag to St. Pierre, and Fun did the same to Phoenix.
Phoenix changed the tempo, using his cruiserweight speed and aerial attacks to combat the more traditional St. Pierre. Phoenix had a few near falls, but as St. Pierre kicked out, he grew frustrated. He yelled at St. Pierre, who managed to sweep Phoenix’s leg out and lock in a heel hook. Phoenix struggled and was in pain, but managed to break free, going to tag in Fun while St. Pierre tagged in Liam.
Fun Fight Machine rushed Liam and went for a head scissors but Liam reversed it right into a sitout powerbomb. He went for the cover but Phoenix, still in the ring, pushed referee Dennis Thompson away to break up the pin.
Thompson shouted at Phoenix to run to his corner, but at that point, all four members of The Shadow Hand began to make their way down from the ramp. Jet Black and Demon Lord Lenin May jumped Crash and Badger, and Jonah Webb tried to enter the ring. Dennis Thompson started to push Webb out of the ring, which allowed Peter “Carnage” Horn to enter from the back.
Liam tried to attack Horn, but Horn overpowered him, and managed to deliver the Side Sitout Powerslam. Horn roared in anger, but was surprisingly stopped midroar by Fun Fight Machine with a kick to the gut. Fun hit a few more kicks which sent Horn flying over the top rope to the floor below. The Shadow Hand seemed to call off the hit at that point, all retreating to the ramp, and Fun looked down at the unmoving Lovable Liam. Fun Fight Machine closed his eyes, contemplating what to do, and didn’t realize Phoenix had climbed the top rope. Phoenix jumped and hit the Phoenix Splash on Liam, then encouraged Fun to cover him. Fun hesitated until Phoenix grabbed Fun and tossed him onto Liam. Dennis Thompson counted three, and The Firing Squad successfully retained.
Up the ramp, Webb and his companions smiled, happy with their work. Phoenix was also ecstatic in the ring, but Fun Fight Machine still seemed lost in thought.
Edward Findleton: Well the Firing Squad remain champions, but Fun Fight Machine might be thinking, at what cost?
THE Casey Gains: No cost at all. They didn’t pay the Shadow Hand! The Shadow Hand were sore losers, they lost to the Muscle Gang, and rightfully attacked them! That’s a complete win for The Firing Squad!
Eve Solace: At the end of the day, there’s a lot of interference in pro wrestling. People remember the results, and Phoenix and Fun Fight Machine will both get to say regardless of how it happened, they’re tag team champions.
Edward Findleton: Well, that they may be! As we get closer to the end of the show, I’m being told we’re about to find out from Freezerman who the fourth competitor at Destroy All Wrestlers is!
The camera panned around the arena, but instead of Freezerman,Georgios Stanellis’ theme started up, and Stanellis and Kitty Kayleen walked out, a very happy couple as they held hands down to the ring.
Georgios Stanellis: In one month…we will cap off an amazing year. A year where we fell in love…where we retired a pathetic old man…where we commentated on a new show…
Kitty Kayleen: So much better than the girl currently sitting at the announce booth.
Georgios Stanellis: Yes! And then to be handpicked as the next HAW World Champion by Freezerman himself! What a year! We will see you all in one month!
At that point, Freezerman appeared on the jumbotron.
Freezerman: Hey Georgios, you might want to wait! I’m about to announce the next competitor for Destroy All Wrestlers! In fact, he’s coming out…right now!
The lights in the arena went out, encasing everyone in darkness. Music similar to a dramatic sea shanty started up, and from the ceiling above the ring, a lighthouse started to lower. A spotlight on the lighthouse started to rotate around the arena, lighting up portions of the crowd and making a couple of complete rotations, until it started to slow down. The spotlight stopped on an entry way up in the crowd, and a man was dressed in a yellow raincoat. He was staring at the ground and had the hood up concealing his face, but bits of long untamed salt and pepper hair and beard could be seen. He finally looked up and removed his hood, revealing Mitchell Row, causing the arena to erupt.
Edward Findleton: Mitchell Row! The Navy Man! He’s back!
THE Casey Gains: I think Georgios was mistaken about him being in retirement!
In the ring, Stanellis’s mouth dropped, and Kitty’s eyes went wide in fear, as Row stared at the two, an unforgiving look in his eye. With that, Row started to make his way down the arena steps towards the ring. Georgios and Kitty were panicking, and as Row got closer, they fled the ring and jumped into the crowd on the opposite side. Row got to the ring and stood on the ropes, watching them flee.
Eve Solace: Stanellis is running away now, but at End of the Trail, he is going to have to share a ring with Mitchell Row.
THE Casey Gains: Everyone wants to be World Champion…but part of me thinks Row is here just to beat the hell out of Georgios Stanellis.
Edward Findleton: Well, we know half the competitors for that match, but there’s still some important business tonight. The fate of the HAW Women’s Championship, and that’s next!
Kherti Bhakta made her entrance, as she invoked her White Tiger imagery, and a projection played on the ramp as she walked like rustling leaves, like an animal walking through the jungle. The projection lights appeared in the ring, making her appear shrouded in foliage, until all the projections suddenly started to flicker and flash, then turn to 1’s and 0’s.
Moonlight’s music started up, and the HAW World Champion walked out, cell phone in hand and seemingly entering some commands.
Edward Findleton: Well I think Moonlight might have been playing some games with Kherti’s entrance, but there’s one very big thing to note: Smiling Sally can NOT be involved in this match.
THE Casey Gains: It’s going to be a simple one on one match for the title. I’m going to predict minimal shenanigans.
The match started with some lock ups, and Moonlight getting a few solid hits onto Kherti, before locking in some holds. Kherti was able to get rope breaks a few times, but each time Moonlight would be back on her with a new submission, wearing Kherti down. Minutes passed in these holds, and Kherti’s gameplan was definitely off target.
Finally, Kherti used almost all her strength to reverse and slam Moonlight to the ground. Bhakta got a few slams in on Moonlight, but when going for another scoop slam, Moonlight reversed out and locked in a sleeper hold.
Edward Findleton: And Kherti can just not get any momentum going!
She started to get weaker, but in desperation kicked Moonlight in the knees a few times. Moonlight broke the hold, and Kherti began to focus on Moonlight’s knees with some kicks and shin breakers. Kherti started to almost look in control but Moonlight surprised Kherti with the Gourdbuster. Moonlight went for the cover, but Kherti managed to kick out at the very last moment. Moonlight looked absolutely shocked and argued with referee Brenda Moses, who confirmed the two count.
Moonlight immediately tried a second pin, but still a kick out. At that point she picked Kherti up from the ground, and hit the Gourdbuster for a second time.
Eve Solace: I think the dismantling of Kherti might be concluded here, Moonlight has really surprised everyone with her dominance.
A smiling Moonlight hooked the leg, and counted along to one, then two, but surprisingly Kherti kicked out a second time. Moonlight looked even more surprised than before, now pleading with Brenda Moses. Moonlight stood up and looked at her still downed opponent. In frustration, she stomped her foot to the ground, but suddenly collapsed, holding her lower leg.
Edward Findleton: Uh oh…Moonlight just appeared to have suffered a non contact injury.
THE Casey Gains: Kherti was hitting those knees before, I wonder if that last stomp was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Moonlight was holding her knee in pain, and medical staff began to come out and examine her. Kherti meanwhile had slowly started to recover, and get to her feet. She saw the personnel tending to Moonlight, and just stayed back.
Edward Findleton: Well folks we apologize for this main event, sometimes these things happen…but all the air has been sucked out of this building.
Eve Solace: Agreed, you can tell Kherti doesn’t even want to compete.
As staff began to put an aircast on Moonlight’s leg, Kherti walked over to her and offered her hand for a shake. Cringing in pain still, Moonlight shook her hand and could be heard thanking her. Kherti turned to the crowd and began to clap, trying to get everyone to join in. It was at that moment, Moonlight leapt to her feet, no pain at all, and rushed Kherti. She quickly turned her around and hit a third Gourdbuster, before lifting her up and hitting a 4th. She covered Kherti, and a shocked Brenda Moses rushed over to count. This time, she got the three count, and a laughing Moonlight rolled off, celebrating her victory.
THE Casey Gains: There we go! Look at that! Moonlight wins! What a match! What a finish!
Edward Findleton: What a mockery! That wasn’t a great match! That was just distasteful!
Eve Solace: I tend to agree, Moonlight really went very low with that tactic.
THE Casey Gains: She is STILL champion! That’s what matters!
Moonlight grabbed her title and phone and quickly left the ring, avoiding the medical staff and the booing fans.
Edward Findleton: She better hightail it out of here! Well folks, I don’t know what to say to that ending, but that’s out show. We hope you enjoyed Summit of Success, and we’ll see you next week. Good night!
